All while people deem him as overrated. As a 40 years bills fan that follows the team as an engineer by trait, all while trying to learn the nuances of salary cap and what makes a team be a perennial contender I have to say Buffalo is getting it all right. They aren’t winning a ring. They have tried and fails but they still are putting a team and franchise out there that says we’re all playing the game of all of it. They have a franchise freak as a qb, they constantly streak to maxim the talent they have and refine it. Their talent on offense has been grossly exaggerated for a long time. Allen has made so many players like Gabe Davis looks way better than he is. Stats are not the tell all with individual talent. Diggs is clearly an elite talent but he’s on the downside of his career but still is clearly a top talent that makes any team better but Buffalo did the right thing for the next future by trading him this year vs next. Buffalo has been a consistent contender. I’m not huge fan of McDermott in some ways but he is a head coach and he clearly has a system for being a winning franchise and Beane despite his mistakes I wouldn’t trade for any gm. I know what 15 years of no playoffs and fake hope looks like. This isn’t it. Stop calling for McDermott and brand’s replacement. Watch what they do to actually give the team a chance every year. They clearly have done that. Changing it for some hope of something better is lunacy. Looking for them to learn and get better is the way to build a ring holder

When the team fall short of expectations people are quick to jump on the blame game. At least 28 teams would love to have reached the success the team has made. The defense has perennially been at or near the top. Injuries killed them the last 2 years. Then you’ll have the props that say “the need a new conditioning coach then”. No highly doubtful that makes any difference. It’s bad luck but also the types of players McDermott loves on defense which are high motor and that sometimes gets them into trouble. One thing Diggs is really good at knowing when his chances of breaking tackles is very slim he lays down and secures the ball. He also never gets hurt

The Bills traded Diggs because of they destroyed their cap trying to win with a rookie contract. It didn't work and they had to cut many starters who got signed immediately

We gotta stop this narrative to be fair in 2019 before diggs got there josh allen had 2 no- name receivers in John brown who had 1,000 yards that year and Cole beasly who had like 778. So allen himself had 29tds and only 9 interceptions. Those are close to same numbers lamar jackson won the mvp with in 2023. So we giving diggs a little to much credit. Yes he help but some folks acting like diggs threw the ball and caught it himself 😂😂. They both benefited from each other. The media didn't notice josh until 2020 and that's they fault

Patrick Mahomes has beaten Josh Allen to this point , but there are no blow out games . You could argue , pretty accurately that the Buffalo Kansas playoff game just past was the closest challenge for KC in that playoff push . Take a look at KC , Buffalo games and there are a handful of plays that made the difference . Not taking anything away from Mahomes , but sports has a big element of luck and randomness to it

As a Texans fan myself don’t look at the negative we have a win win situation with Diggs if he plays good this year which I think he will that’s a good thing for us and if for some reason he becomes a so called “diva” and is hurting the team well guess what he only has a 1 year contract with us anyways so it doesn’t hurt the team.

I'd say DK Metcalf is more of a headache personally then Diggs. Diggs wants to win, is frustrated they arent winning the games that matter, and as a result his actions and words spoke louder then his play. Metcalf wants to win his way, and is a weekly problem that, were he in a bigger media market, would make more headlines for his boneheaded antics that continually cost his team.

He's not even half of TO. TO had more drama than Diggs. Diggs wants to win, but the issue was when Buffalo changed their offense to get going, he wasn't involved. It's going to be different with Stroud and DeMeco because they're the guys that force you to earn it and hold you accountable while Josh Allen and Sean McDermott were not.

How, exactly? On D the Bills lost Poyer and Hyde who were, respectively, borderline OK and just, plain bad. On O, Diggs was a non-factor the 2nd half of the season and Gabe (I will always love him) was TOTALLY invisible. With all that, the Bills went on an end of the season rampage that got them into the playoffs when everyone had written them off.

Careful. Don't underestimate here. Diggs might be half of what you say as far as being a diva. He's not like a Terrell Owens or a Michael Irvin when it comes to trash talking. Plus, he's on a one-year deal, which basically means he has to earn his value. If Diggs doesn't deliver, he goes out the door.
