Reminds me of when John McCain was scheduled to be on Letterman, cancelled to “rush back to Washington”, then Dave caught McCain on a live CBS feed on the evening news instead 😂
@@donaldpaluga The point was McCain lied. He said he had to cancel his appearance with Letterman because he had to rush back to Washington D.C., but he went and did another show instead.
I wish I could remember the segment, but Rich, one day you did make a snide comment about Colin 😂. The segment had something to do with him not crediting you and the show with a scoop or something 🤔
You guys are NOT competing ... I watch all of you on RU-vid. Live broadcast doesn't matter when we can watch any of you any time we want here on the tube.
I used to watch Colin all the time. I think he has some good analogies (he points things out that are trends and usually he is right) But I think he repeats himself a whole lot and he doesn't care too much about subtlety. He takes a side and sticks to it because he knows that attracts ears. I think Rich is a much nicer person and sees the world with more kindness. Colin assumes the world is selfish.
If I put a present in a box, wrap it, and give it a bow. When I give it away, it is a gift. No one and I mean no one, calls it a "jift" So why would the removal of the "t" change things? .....because the g is short for graphics? The inventor mispronounced his own invention. Extremely odd but being an inventor doesn't mean you get to reinvent the way language works.
If it’s any help, the inventor of the GIF pronounced it as “jif”… so that might explain why it’s a common version. But at the end of the day, it’s just a word based on an acronym that came out in the late 1980’s… in other words it’s not some Latin or Proto-Germanic word-we’re literally experiencing the etymological origin of the word right now. Cool, isn’t it?
@@ericparker163While that’s pretty reasonable logic you applied there, GIF isn’t a proto-Germanic word like “gift” is. English vocabulary draws from so many different sources that it’s tough to take a brand new word and cherry pick which grammar rules to apply to it. We do that anyway, 😅 but it only makes language development an organic process.
@@francium_hd629 you're entitled to your opinion but I haven't listened to the rcap he spews in almost a decade and nothing some stranger on some social meds app says is gonna change my thoughts and opinions and get me to watch some bum who disrespects my Browns!!!! Constructive criticism is one thing but continuous disrespect is another!!!
Cowherd is awful. Ask Dan Patrick. This is typical of him, cut the competitions neck to get ahead. Very professional of Rich to Say "yeah we don't hate eachother" I'd like to hear what he has to say about him off camera.
I dig both Cowherd and Rich. I find Cowherd to be an entertaining listen. His show has a good rhythm and he has interesting takes (even when very wrong) but I understand why people might not like him.
