I’m convinced the “4 QB” interview tactic by Peters was brilliant. It was simply a test for Daniels in light of his previous wavering behavior. Is he going to be truly committed to the Commanders or is he going to listen to Butler and others, and possibly try to jump ship and insist on a trade after the draft? As a Commanders fan, I don’t trust his team loyalty. Plus he’s just too thin. I would trade the pick and go after Maye (whom Quinn loves) or JJ (proven loyal winner).

In the defense of Ditka, IF Williams lived up to the hype it was a good trade, Clearly the guy was a bust. But THAT is the draft, which is why, unless it is a Payton Manning, or Patrick Mahomes (who many thought was a risky pick, I personally did not), do NOT trade up to chase talent that probably is not even there. Jayden Daniels isn't a lock at 2 he is pissed at the Commanders and from multiple reports one from his agent their camp is pissed. I think Commanders pivot to Drake Maye or McCarthy for this reason. Also to add more fire at some point the Commanders now GM told Daniels earlier in his college career that Daniels would at best be a 5th round pick. I believe if the Commanders try to draft him Daniels might do a Eli Manning and say trade me I won't play for you. There is beef between the team and player prior to the draft.
