Rich Lyons busking at the Berkeley Farmers' Market 

As the Chancellor of UC Berkeley, Rich Lyons sets the vision for the university’s future and oversees its operations. In his previous roles as the UC Berkeley Chief Innovation Officer and Dean of the Haas School of Business, the cultivated the university's innovation ecosystem and introduced the Defining Principles at Haas, which have since become the pillars of the culture at the business school.
His tremendous accomplishments and meteoric rise notwithstanding, Rich is down-to-earth, enjoys delighting others with his guitar playing, and is deeply rooted in the Berkeley community. All the proceeds from his busking went to the Berkeley Free Clinic. Learn more at www.berkeleyfreeclinic.org.
