A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage. He was in love with the fiancee. His mum was so for me there's no big deal if he finally marries the one he loves
I’m sorry maybe it’s just me, but I personally can’t root for Kim in this movie because she knew that Johnny was in a relationship. Regardless of whether or not he was engaged to chloe yet, he was still in a relationship. So Kim had no right to be upset with Johnny when she found out that he proposed. Yes,he was dead wrong for not telling her that he proposed to chloe but Kim and Johnny both were wrong for messing around, knowing that Johnny was in a relationship, a five-year one at that.
Felicity Jones is a unique beauty and was great in "The Theory of Everything," garnering her an Oscar nom. It's baffling why she didn't blow up after "Rogue One," which made $1B off of an original story. It was also critically well-received, and arguably the best Star Wars movie outside of the original trilogy. It's definitely a quality spin-off project, alongside "The Mandalorian" and "Andor." Wonder if she refused a Harvey Weinstein-type situation and got blacklisted from high-profile Hollywood castings for being "difficult." She should be having a career at least on par with someone like Ana de Armas.
This was actually a fun and amusing movie - largely due to Bill Bailey, Bill Nighy and Tamsin Egerton (and Brook Shields was surprisingly amusing too). Not the regular hallmark stuff which is probably why a lot of the comments here are quite negative. The only flaw in the casting imo was the fiancee - she was just so bitchy you end up questioning the intelligence of the love interest for being with her in the first place
Give this movie 5/10 Kim She's just a kid overworked and easily influenced by peer pressure and Chads. Bill (Kim's father) The parents are supposed to take care of the kids not the other way around. He was so helpless! Georgie She's the type of person you stay away from. The party girl who introduces you to drugs and the hook-up culture while taking credit for things she doesn't do and placing the blame on you for things she does do. Just your all-around bad influence. Richard (Jonny's Dad) Seem like a decent guy and a good character. Caroline (Jonny's Mom) Seems overly protective but at times level-headed but mostly stifling. She spends most of the movie in mom mode. Chloe (Jonny's Girlfriend of 5 years) Well, she a perfect example of what raging jealousy gets you. A broken back and a reason that pushes two characters together because you had very little trust. Although she didn't deserve to be cheated on and dumped at her own engagement party. That was colder than the slops they were skiing down. Mikki Arguably one of the coolest guys in the film. He wasn't annoying and he wasn't pushy, dude really helped move the plot in the direction it needed to go. Nigel( Jonny's brother) At least from what was shown in the recap of this film he didn't seem like a bad guy. I just thought he had feeling for Georgie (that horrible woman) and was trying to get a date (the way dumb teenage do). Jonny Oh Jonny, Jonny, Jonny. I didn't care for him. He was basically a chad (with a small amount of compassion. He couldn't think on his own, couldn't do anything on his own. Jonny survived by his parents and then whined about it like he was poor. The dude basically spend a couple of fake skiing lessons with a girl he meant 2 or 3 times and then claimed he was in love. Sleep with that girl after he got engaged to someone else. Also, Kim mentions something about Mikki and Georgie being a good couple.......... First of all, I must of miss the part where the Recap told us they hook up after the hot tube incident but before and after that there are zero romantic sparks between the two the whole video.
You've written a surprising amount about a movie you obviously never actually watched. These recaps never tell the full story (and often don't even accurately tell the basic plot)
yeah, that a resort would close because of that snow is pretty redicules, but well in comparison to the whole snowboarding arc it's almost realistic again
It's just highlighting that she's a fish out of water, but she proves she can thrive in this new world - but she does it her way rather than fitting in
