When they asked the question which book character he would love to play in a movie my mind was instantly going: "Dr Grey from The Jane Austen Society!!!!!!!" And there he goes saying just that! It would be so perfect!!! :D
I hope that I can get Richard's reading in his rich comforting voice of Agatha C. detective books. LOVE his story about his mom. Mother's love is never ending & forever. God bless you and hope you saw your dad. Books helped the loneliness in 2020. Hope is here. I'm Vaccinated now, I choose joy in my life.
So glad I stumbled upon this interview (many months late). I've long admired Richard's voice and have listened to a few of his narrations. As an author who reads her novels aloud several times through during the editing process (and happens to be doing that over this weekend) I would have liked to ask Richard... what do you do to preserve your voice when faced with hours of narration? I have hot tea with honey on hand, but still my throat is getting sore!
Watch this from to time. I'm a Richard fan. I have listened to quite a few of his readings. My favourite has to be David Copperfield I can highly recommend if you haven't heard it. Another one I enjoyed was CJ Tudors The Other People. Spooky but excellent
