God seriously gave with both hands when he created this amazing man. I love seeing him laugh, because we don't get to see it very often in his roles. He's so adorable.

He is so lovely in this interview ... I have watched it so many times.

After seeing him in North and South, I've been hoping to see him in more period dramas. He's definitely really good looking and a great actor. :)

What I loved the most about this, is that Richard appeared to be enjoying himself through this interview. Excellent questions were given though, but it was refreshing to see a celebrity who wasn't just going through the motions of the interview. Seems like a guy you could have a lot of fun with! ;_)

Thank you for clearing that up - I thought that was who he was talking about. Yes, I love his british accent - love how thoughtful he is and how he explains so much and he has a great laugh. I think the questions were really great!

I've only ever read the book of The Hobbit, but it looks like it could be a great movie. Richard Armitage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman...(I'm also a massive Sherlock fan.)

I'm with you Nobel4pearl. He is just so cute and charming. Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to see him on stage. I love the way he sort of hesitantly defends Guy, too. He doesn't agree with everything he does, but he understands him, and I love that. I wonder if he likes playing Bad Guy or Good Guy better. He says humiliation is the hardest part to play. Wonder if he likes having a break from the Sheriff?

i'm british and i say 'lit ul'. its not really a regional accent thing its just the way most of us over here say it. There can be variation in the regions but with this word its mainly the same. on the other hand americans say 'liddle' almost, so its just the contrast between the 2 countries, and he doesn't have a particular regional voice in this.

Jeez, everyone thumbs downed me... I dont think they understood. I totally think he's awesome, I just always pretended that because he's so otherwise flawless that he must be a jerk. After seeing him more candidly in interviews i now have nothing to mark against him. lol. lighten up people.

It is true that we say "liddle." I've always been interested in the diff. betw. Brit and American English. Sometimes I have to use subtitles because otherwise there are a few things I miss. Maybe it's the same for you with American speech.

I agree - I have never seen him in any color that did not suit him - whoever dresses him should be a bit more courageous in the colors he wears - I love him in blue - white - he looked great without a shirt, too. I have to say.

Being an American I had to look up James Hewitt. Apparently he had a date with Princess Diana and is a publicity hound.? Nice interview. Personable guy it seems, but shy. Many actors are I think.
