There's a callback to this at the end of the episode. Richard asks them, "Have you got this?". They aren't sure, so he reassures them "You've got this". The final shot of the episode is the team chasing Richard around the crystal dome, catching him and giving him a hug.
Was not expecting these nasty comments. I genuinely laughed out loud at the rapport between Richard and the girls, they were clearly all having fun with each other. People who saw negative things did so because they went out of their way to.
Did anybody else notice he said "we'll talk about time later" BEFORE she'd finished saying "i can see the future" :O it's like Richard can see the future too, does this mean space gives you the ability to foresee liniar time?
in a sense, remember time is a 4th dimension added to 3d space. as such she was arguing that past, present and future exist as one reflected in "the present". seems she was right, but Richard foresaw her foreseeing giving him the edge in this i think... ive run out of time now...
You know, I didn't think the new series could live up to Richard O'Brien as host but now that I think about it Richard Ayoade is probably one of the few people alive that could pull off the role, maybe I'll give modern Crystal Maze a chance.
She could break the laser line three times? Was there anything stopping her from breaking it once to pick it up, walking casually over to where it goes and breaking the line for a second time to put it in its resting place?
Based on the fact that it's a game show, and one that's fairly tight with it's rules and solutions... Probably the guy with their finger on the "unlock door" button, and the producer that can say "no, do it right" the second they try to cheese it.
Yes, because if you break it and don’t put it back so the beam is going through it, it’s automatic disqualification. The beam has to pass through the hole for the game to be valid.
If you can break it three times, why don't you just pull the ring through the line, then stick it back in right at the top? Would count for 2 failures, right? Am I just missing something here?
Richard posed a question to them asking, "where does this come from？ This “you got this" ". The contestants kept replying to the contestant near Richard "you got this, you got this!" and when Richard presses on, he was told to "let [them] live." A bit lost at the reason why Richard should be chastised.
There’s an old show called The Avengers in an episode called The Dangermakers I think. Emma Peel (aka Diana Rigg) had to balance on a see saw and pull a loop over these poles. This reminds me so much of it please tell me I’m not the only one haha!
Question: if you're allowed to break the laser 3 times, what prevents her from simply yanking the ring through the laser, walking to the hand scanner, shoving the ring back through the laser (yknow, for the letter of the challenge), activating the hand scanner, and then walking out?
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] - (AMPLIFIED version) NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus
Sadly days later she was shot dead by armed police in the 99p shop, she knifed the cashier because she didn't get her penny change as the cashier had ran out of penny's, witnesses say she went crazy and was heard shouting " now ya gunna get it bitch " then she pulled out a 6 inch kitchen knife and stabbed the cashier in the neck, then started to swing her knife towards the customers shouting " come at me n see what ya get" sadly for her it was an armed policeman who shot her right between her eyes. We never got to see what we would get if anyone comes at her as the bitch was dead...
Maybe Channel 4 would be better hiring a host who came from planet earth than Richard, who seems to come from a different galaxy, devoid of all human emotion and compassion, with no interpersonal skills with humans. He looks like a man who has ice water flowing through his veins and not blood.
Hate it when they celebritise great game shows. Must be a load of Z-list celebrities on the dole, which is understandable, so they grovel to Equity to pull a few strings to get them work and you get a re-hash of a brilliant programme with them thrown in it, totally ruining it. So much better with members of the public and children in it as it's natural and spontanious rather than contrived and pretentious.

Sabah Squared Actually he’s probably not (I don’t know what’s going on in his head so I can’t verify this). Judging by his past behaviour plus the way he talks on Travel Man, Richard likes to use slang. He does somewhat on Crystal Maze with his “mins” for minutes and such. It’s his *VERY* dry sense of humour that throws people off. To me, it looked like he was really enjoying himself. He didn’t actually shut her down, just playfully (again, very dry sense of humour) argued with her.
I think he wanted them to approach the activity with a little more level headedness and calmness But a little bit of confidence is good for the soul innit
