*"I could've kicked Castle to the curb years ago, any time I wanted to. The only reason I kept him around this long was 'cause I saw how good he was for you. Kate...you weren't having any fun before he came along."* - The great Roy Montgomery
It was almost like he predicted this to happen. On the serious note, she was having lots of fun, success in solving these cases started having feelings for him, started dating, which led to marriage and kids. They even worked through all that.
I love Stana! The part in Murder he wrote, right after he says I'll show you around, you could see her expression change, like "Do I really belong here in this lifestyle?" A moment of doubt coming from a woman who has been so strong & confident, even in the face of death.
I get so sad when I hear the rumors that in real life Castle and Beckett hated each other. Apparently they are both such good actors they can convincingly "play" chemistry.
Gary Duncan not the way I heard it, the producers even tried couples therapy but to no avail Kate was done, and according to a interview ready to do something new.
There's a lot of rumors as to what happened. Short of one of the actual actors saying what happened in an interview, I am going to just ignore the rumors. While some may be true or partially true, it's anyone's guess as to which is which and there's no point in guessing.
I love and miss this show so much! I always thought it was a little silly for her to ask that question, though. I'm sure after 4 years of being around him and knowing he's a famous author she'd realize he was rich!
There is rich and there is RICH! Wealthy people don't own a house in the Hamptons they rent them. It's only the very rich that can afford to own a house.
Upper income New York lifestyle. New money/Professional - Loft in Midtown, house in the Hamptons. Older inherited money. Co-op on Park or 5th, house in Upstate NY. Really really old money (think Astor, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt) Townhouse or Maisonette in the old Upper East Side- Sutton Place or Beekman Place, Family Estate on Long Island's North Shore, commute by cabin cruiser.
@@CatCheshire It was rushed. But as far as I remember... didn't they defeat LokSat (or did he get away?). And they both lived and now seem to have 2 children. Ps.: If I'm misremembering and LokSat got away please correct me!
@@XanderFenikkusu according to writers there was more to loksat then just the season 8 finale. They were going to kill beckett's characters and have a season 9 but channel decided to cancel the show. So they just added the last part as a "HAPPY ENDING".
@@Helperstricks I'm actually glad they did. Even though this ending was definitely rushed it was still better than the alternative. Castle without Beckett would be like the Mentalist without Lisbon, Lucifer without Chloe or Bones without Seely Booth. But the best possibility would, still, have been to write a better season 9 and 10. With interesting interactions with LokSat and intriguing development for Castle and Beckett. Maybe they could have actually shown her pregnancy and then them rasing the child, instead of this "seven years later"-thing.
