@@ominous7271 What is wrong with you. Like, seriously. Statistically, given the current numbers, there should have been at least 7 or 8 more trolls agreeing with you and thumbing up your post. Apparently even even other trolls can't believe how bad you are at this and want nothing to do with you.
@Felice_Enellen There's nothing wrong with me? I'm just pointing out that this video is flawed - we, the viewer, are led to believe she's travelling on her own, but there's obviously a cameraman with her, filming her. You've got loads of comments saying she's 'so brave!' when quite obviously this is all terribly choreographed and scripted.
Finally, after all these years of non-stop-showing-off-happy-faced travel bloggers here's a proper socially awkward person travelling at a cost less than that of a pint of beer expressing the exact opposite of smuggy happiness. Thank you, I've really enjoyed this.
I loved watching Lucy prepping and rehearsing. I've never watched someone work on remembering a sequence of numbers to later drop into a monologue. It was also fun to see her getting random people to hold her camera. Very entertaining, looking forward to the next one.
@@Formula1st it's all under the same umbrella these days. I'd call the Grand tour TV but that's online. Same for many other shows exclusively on streaming service.
@@Formula1st Tv is not dying at all, yes people are consuming content online but streaming and video is literally just TV, you are being shown episodic shows. TV as you are thinking ie: network television is still booming and in fact getting bigger and bigger. Theaters aren't dying, either - movie studios are making a massive push to once again get people in front of big screens because that is what they are made for - spectacle. Their entire metrics are based off ticket sales, not views. I work in industry and despite the current writers strike everything was booming and will be once again. We have actually gone back to how cable was - everyone has a streaming service now and if you combine a bunch of them you are paying more than what a decent cable package is, so welcome to full circle and nothing much has changed. I say this as someone who has worked in the business for 2 decades now.
Lucy channelling her inner-James May (The only person to reach the North Pole who didn't actually want to go there) and nevertheless producing compelling content at the same time. Respect Lucy, looking forward to more of the same!
This is as close to a true backpacker experience as you can get on screen. Most shows never really manage to get the true budget experience down, but here you see Lucy deliberately pick a coach to get to the town just to save a buck. What a legend!
Why? I fly with Ryanair every month. Their pilots are just as skilled as those of other European and US carriers. I've never experienced any issues with any of my countless flights with FR.
It was only 12 months ago Lucy struggled to speak to camera, now she's speaking to camera while a stranger is recording her trying to chat her up, and spinning on Bulls balls 😄 it's good to see her confidence is growing.
i love lucy, her personally, her attitude, i could watch her travel the world, please give us more of her. Hammond was spot on, she made me feel like I'd been there. Looking forward to what's next.
This is pure gold! Lucy was brilliant! I find lucy extremely funny maybe because i had a co-worker couple of years back that is/was 100% Lucy's clone. Cna't wait for the next one! GOOOO LUCY !!!!
As a trainee journalist I can safely say that is insanely impressive. I spend my life video editing and trying remember what to say. And the fact you can do all that within a day, whilst gathering footage, talking to complete strangers, with no idea where you're going next... hats off to you. You must be knackered
I'm Italian and I live at 1h and a half from Milan. I've been to all those places and It was really fun to hear Lucy trying to pronounce Italian words! BTW panzerotti is plural for panzerotto. I wish I was there to get a selfie, I would have been the only one to recognize you 😂 By the way, the statue in the center of the main square was vandalized with paint by a climate activist
I like the "off the cuff" feel of this idea. Lucy's "we'll see what happens when we get there" is brilliant. The final edit was fantastic! If I lived in Europe, I'd travel to a different country often if it only cost me less than $20 US. I can barely even travel to another state for that money and I can assure you my destinations would be far less interesting.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Lucy is getting so much more comfortable in front of the camera. I was locked to the screen on this video. Love her!! Great stuff guys!
I knew the camera work and editing would be spot on. After all this is Lucy's trademark. What impressed me was thinking on the fly and going to strangers for help filming. I know you lived in France for a period of time Lucy so maybe Europe is a bit more comfortable than somewhere else. I guess we'll see but I love content by Lucy.
Excellent to see. Lucy you did amazing considering the challenge.. the words cruel and unusual punishment came to mind seeing how pleased Richard and Mike were with their idea. I share your love for pigeons, be glad they didn't send you to Venice.
Is this MIke and dare I say Richard, having Lucy expand her horizons under a guise of a travel show? If so, I am all for it, she is wonderful and there maybe times where she might enjoy things, fingers crossed :D
I always wondered what Hammond would do with the money saved by not stopping the train for May in India. It’s a hard choice between £13 for saving your mate or sending a colleague to Italy alone 😅
Awesome video, I look forward to the next one! Had to watch the video twice because the first time I was so focused on figuring out what backpack Lucy had. I’ve been looking for a new travel backpack and if anyone is curious it’s the Stubble & Co Roll Top backpack 👍🏼
Yes, Yes, Yes! Great Concept. Totally enjoyed this video. Lucy is PERFECT for the assignment. 4.5K views is less than 30 minutes is fantastic reflection of "Lucy (Dora) the Explorer"
If you had sent Clarkson on the trip he probably would have shown bathroom's and food places... lol. May would have shown museums, unique yet boring to most places, and given a lot of comparison commentaries. Hehe. Well done Lucy.
I first thought this is the worst idea ever but no, this was very entertaining to watch and something new! Lucy is perfect for the job, strangely enough, never knew she could pull it off like a pro 👍👍👍👍
Great work, Lucy! Though one criticism, I'm not even Italian, and even I'm not brave enough to order a cappuccino when it's not in the morning, if I'm correct Italians consider that a morning only coffee. I remember doing it once in Florence, and I got a strange look by the waiter.
Thought this was going to be very nonchalant and rushed but it turned out to be actually brilliant, love how Lucy adapted very well in a pretty much 'off you go' situation with quick yet accurate researches, snappy editing and careful locations spotting. Excited to see more! edit: Out of curiousity, How much was the coach ticket? I feel it's relevant.
I gotta say, Lucy is very underrated. She should be doing more presenting and traveling. Albeit, not so tight a budget. 😉 Despite you guys sending her out on a budget, she hit it out of the park! So impressed! 👏🏻 Look forward to the next vid! 👍🏻🙂
She made it through Milano w/o being burgled on the metro, kudos to her, cheers from ITA🇮🇹 ps Galleria Vittorio Emanuele Secondo, you were closer to say it correctly sans google help❤❤
