By far the best version. Wish the album version was extended like this with the juicy solos! This guy should be way bigger than he is. I can't believe he is virtually unknown in the states. Oh wait.. yes I can people like Jay Z rule the charts.
I remember sitting with Richard after the show in Birmingham many many year's ago when he was playing small venues and we were laughing so much because i was telling him about a dear old lady called Sally who was with me and my friend tom and that when he played this song Sally who was almost deaf said to me fuck me? He's nearly busting my ear drums he's so loud and my ears are ringing 😅😂 even though she was 83 years old she had a lovely and funny sense of humour and Richard said you know what Sally I've nearly pissed myself laughing 😅😂 but sadly our laughter turned to tears as Sally passed away and my beautiful best forever friend tom also passed away 3beds away from me whilst we were in our comas due to covid pneumonia and multiple organ failure and i was in my coma for 9and a half weeks and 7months in a hospital bed and now in a wheelchair 😔 😭 and suffering from chronic ptsd and many many health issues from long covid damage and fibrosis in my lungs and Airways and the worst pain of all is my loneliness and emptiness that i have to go through every moment. But to Richard. I thankyou from the very bottom of my broken heart 💔 for all the memories of that night and also for making Sally and tom very welcome and all the Time that you spent with us it's a memory that covid never ever took away from me and will always remain deep in my broken heart 💔 so thank you Richard👤🎤🎸🎹🥁🇬🇧💜

Fantastic. This is from the third album he made - Lowedges - which didn't have much impact on the charts, certainly not as much as Coles Corner which followed it. It's still probably my favourite RH album, though Late Night Final is an absolute classic as well.
He is such a beautiful player! AWESOME VERSION of this track! That 12 string electric guitar SOUNDS INCREDIBLE. This song is so entrancing. That end riff at 5:48 EPIC!!!
