Listen to his words; this same speech could essentially be given today, more than 50 years later...

Good Lord, except for the references to Vietnam, this speech can be given by the republican nominee at next year’s convention!

The last 4 or 5 Presidents couldn't compare to Nixon. I lived through Nixon's Presidency and I never felt safer. Reagan was a great one but Nixon was an expert on foreign policy.

Expert on foreign policy? Like opening up to china and basically allowing communist china to be a powerful and rich country?

@@m4rs12 President Nixon had a vision. He didn't realize politicians would sell out our country. Besides, they had the A bomb and wouldn't hesitate to use it being isolated as they were.

By expert, you mean expert at committing crimes. Nixon committed a war crime by bombing civilians in Cambodia and violated the Constition because his invasion was made without congressional approval. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.law.upenn.edu/institutes/cerl/conferences/ethicsofsecrecy/papers/reading/Ely.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiEnZSC193rAhUO-6wKHTfMA1IQFjAIegQIChAB&usg=AOvVaw0jC7WMTbw9XH6HTUR3-Ht3 Americans will impeach over concealing a bungled arson, hanky panky, etc, but not mass murder. To impeach over crimes against humanity would be an indictment of this nation's roots- murder and slavery. That is what is meant when people utter the words "traditional values" and "happy Thanksgiving."

What history most correctly remembers about Nixon for is being a corrupt, paranoid and fallen President who was forced to disgracefully resign from office lest he be removed by impeachment trial. Trump will be deservedly relegated to the same historical trash heap. And that, like Nixon, will be his ultimate and indelible punishment.

Third Man Difference is President Trump won’t resign because he committed zero crime with evidence to show for it.

That's a shame considering nixon got done the salt agreements and opened relations with the soviets and China and founded the EPA and several other good things as president. Bugging a hotel hardly discredits all that especially when he won 49 states in the election it would have effected (considering his margin there's no way that info effected anything electorally)

Nixon tried to get us out of Vietnam, established the EPA, and passed Title IX. Everyone obsesses over Watergate but if it truly defined his legacy he wouldn’t have been a foreign policy guide to so many presidents after him.
