I can only imagine how hard this can be for the King. I know how hard it was on my dad when we lost mom. I hope in some way these videos are cathartic and a form of comfort for him. I grew up watching the King race and now I can't believe I'm watching him cook. 43 forever.

The Petty Family channel is doing such an excellent job of providing a look behind the scenes of this legendary family. Whenever Richard and Dale get together to review races, they provide such a wealth of experience and insight to the conversation. They seem to really have a good time working together on this project. Here King Richard demonstrates his kitchen organizational skills and prepares what looks to be a delicious steak dinner. I liked the methhod of cooking the corn on the cob & cutting all the green Onions in one slice. That was a great looking healthy meal.

So happy The King is still with us. Now, I have a good story, but I really don't know if it's true, but.. My uncle and dad used to live in florida. Dad always loved to tell me that his older brother, my uncle joe, had some kind of accident and was put in the hospital; his hospital roommate, for some amount of time, was Lee Petty. This was after that last crash, i think. Once again, I don't know if its true; this is just a story i heard when i was a little kid. If someone could verify it, whether its true OR NOT, i'd be grateful.
