I've been watching American Pickers for years. I haven't since Frank left, though. I didn't know you enjoyed that show as well. It was great to actually see inside the store. Thank you so much for covering that and also Richard Pryor's statue as well. It is frustrating to find someplace to pay your respects when there is no final resting place. Thank you Jordan. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
Richard was a customer of mine at the newsstand I managed in Van Nuys approx 10-14 days before the fire. I thought Richard was just drunk, (I was naive about drugs) he was still nice, sorry I can't say anything he said. Richard bought the adult magazines that had jokes in them, that he could use or spice up. Richard gave me the largest tip I received in the 4 yrs I worked there, $200, which was alot more in 1981 than today. The things Richard did for the most part only hurt himself. To my knowledge he didn't return to the newsstand when he was better, when I worked there. Rest In Peace Richard, I enjoyed our 10-15 minutes together.
I’m from Peoria area. Very cool you did a video on the statue. Sam kinison was raised about 10 minutes from that statue in east peoria Illinois. Crazy that 2 of the best comedians are from the same area
Jordan, I just wanted to say thank you for all your work.If my parents or grandparents r going through a tough time medically. I always turn on Jordan the Lion’s travels,it really helps. Your work means so much to us. Thank you!
Richard Pryor was a great comedian and actor, loved him. The statue is purrfect, great job. Also loved American Pickers, the store was great I would have a ball in there, thanks for taking us along😎
I heard Richard say in an interview that his grandmother was a madame in Bloomington Illinois and he also lived with her there. That is my hometown and why I noticed that comment.
Enjoyed all the cool stuff you found in Antique Archeology. It's a shame some things are way over-priced. Used to be you could find a deal; people just wanting to share their finds but today, not so much. Tourist driven, it seems. This was one of those unplanned but delightful adventures...those are the best. Thanks Jordan.
Wow such a great video Jordan,, seen most of those picks , from American pickers, and then the richard Pryor,, what a legend he was,, definitely one of the best,,,,, ,, awesome video,,
I remember the episode with the Laurel and Hardy heads. Mike and Frank were wearing them while giving Danielle a review, considering giving her a raise. 🤣🤣🤣
hi Jordan the lion i like your hat i wont be able to come to your get to your meet and greet its in Chiago i live in Ohio sorry my spelling is very bad
Great video. A lot of background music in the back. How do you get away with copyright issues? Just asking because I won’t tape in some places because I’m afraid of copyright issues.
Awesome video 👌I love American Pickers so thankyou for stopping in there felt like I was there and I’m Australian so hearing AC/DC in the background was fantastic lol 😆 Love Richard Pryor too 👍
I loved the way Richard animated his stand up comedy. He was one a kind and one of my favorites. I feel sorry for him he had a hard childhood. May he rest in peace. He gave us some comedy escapism.
When Jordan saw my name, I bet he thought another Palomino Club story?? Haha. I use to tell people that I did well working the corners of Victory and Van Nuys Blvds!! I'm sad that newsstands are gone (last I knew a couple are still open, but just hanging on.
Richard was a legend. Which way Is Up? Stir crazy. Nothing against Cleavon Little, but Richard would have been great playing the sheriff in Blazing Saddles.
Hi, Jordan! Fabulous episode. Thanks so much for taking us through Antique Archeology. What fun. I could spend days going through such a "museum" where you can actually buy something and not just look at it. Then visiting the R.G. LeTourneau steel house was a treat. That name rang a bell with me and I immediately remembered he lived his life on the principle of retaining 10% of his income and giving 90% to his church and missions. A very Godly man who lived out his faith, helped others and set a great example. The Richard Pryor "memorial" was a treat, too. You just have to mention the titles SILVER STREAK and STIR CRAZY and I'm laughing. Thanks again! Give Jah a hug for me!
Love this segment. My wife and I are actually traveling to Iowa from Arizona in two weeks to see both the Field of Dreams and Antique Archeology. American Pickers and Pawn Stars are two of my favorite shows. Can't wait.
I miss Richard Pryor they don't make em like that anymore! As a single Mom with 6 kids n a child with downs I don't get to travel to much anymore so I'm so grateful when you take us along.GOD bless you n yours💜from philly
I was there several years ago when I visited the Field Of Dreams Field in Iowa as well. Most of that stuff is overpriced as hell. Not surprised some things still sit there from when I visited. Lol. It's basically a museum. They get their real money selling merch...😄
I met Richard Pryor in Ebro, Florida at the dog track about 10 miles from Panama City, it was spring break 1990, I was 17 at the time, I was there with my mom,an aunt and her friend, Richard Pryor was smoking a cigar and was holding a racing form w/racing tickets, I shook his hand and let him know I had all of his albums, he said he appreciated that and said he was glad to meet one of his fans
Hi Jordan! Richard busted that racial door right open. Loved him for that. His humor took me through my teens with more wisdom that I got from Richard Pryor.
You probably hit my hometown. Davenport , Iowa before Le Claire , buffalo bills birthplace. I live close to Peoria Illinois now so that’s cool you saw my area of the country. The quad city style pizza is really good. Richard Prior and Sam Kenison were from Peoria
Im pretty sure danielle and all them are never there, they probably close it for filming , and then thats the only time their there, like pawn stars, its a tourist trap
Beautiful statue of Richard Pryor. He & Gene Wilder were great in movies together. Also enjoyed seeing American Pickers home-base as well as the old house & scenery. Well done Jordan. ❤️🙏🏻.
I use to love watching Richard Pyor whenever he was on TV. Mike and Frank digging around for their kind of treasure, and some items are worth...' How much'.. 😲.
