I will never forget how scary it was that hot summer, my dad was a bouncer at night clubs in Hollywood and worked all night and didn't come home in till the early mornings. We had to keep all our windows closed all night and I slept with a baseball bat to protect my mom and sister incase the Night Stalker showed up. My dad said I was the man of the house when he was at work. As a 11 year old I took that seriously. We were so excited to hear he was finally caught

RIP to the victims. The first victims were just pulling into their driveway and were randomly and brutally killed. Police were baffled because there was no motive. Soon later police would realize they had a serial murderer on their hands. Once he was labeled the Nightstalker, his crimes got even more brutal and he relished in the name.

He looks like he's there to buy drugs. But fr, don't be such a coward. They aren't going to do anything to you in broad daylight. It's not like they want to scare away the white junkies. That would hurt their business. If you're Black or Mexican, sure, they're probably gonna press you. But if you're white, they're going to assume you're either a junkie or a cop. Nobody will say a wors to you in the hood in broad daylight unless it's to offer u drugs for sale or ask if ur a cop lol. For the most part it's the local inhabitants who get punked by the gangs. If you tell them u not from there, they won't bother you. And if youre white, the gangsters will assume you're a cop and avoid u. Just don't leave your vehicle at night in the hood. Different set of rules apply if u on foot at night. Then you're likely to get jumped cuz nobody can see who u are. And the thieves and crack smokers come out of the woodwork at night.

Thank you Michael for your hard work. My boyfriend is from East L.A. and at the time of all this, he was in L.A. County Jail where Ramirez was finally taken. One day it was time for the vans to pick up inmates to take them to the courthouse. And my boyfriend was loaded up on the van with other inmates from East L.A. The van door was all the way open and another van rolled up about 2 parking spaces over and out comes Ramirez shackled and many correctional officers. Ramirez looks at the guys in East L.A. bus and says “Hey Homies!” Like he was some kind of celebrity and all the gangster from East L.A. said who you calling homie? All the guys were upset that he killed women and old lady. And Ramirez got so scared and he shut up. He was running scared at the jail. They gangs let him know he was done. After court he was kept in segregation because the correctional officers knew he wouldn’t survive unless he was P.C. d out. Once at San Quentin he was on lock down. That’s the only way he survived all those years.

That's the crappy part about someone like him, Bundy, you name it, you know they're on the loose, and if the law can't catch them, it's pretty much up to you. That's the greatest part of how he was caught, the people took the law into their own hands. Great video! I was 8 years old living in West Covina at the time Richard Ramirez was on his spree. I completely understood what was going on because our parents and teachers talked about it pretty openly. It was a turning point in our neighborhoods where people got bars on their windows and replaced their locks to heavy duty locks. Before this, no one really thought about home security. I was nine, almost ten years old in the summer of 1985 when this happened. I remember people sleeping with baseball bats or knives between their mattress. It was a scary time. There was a murder that happened maybe five miles from where I was living at the time in north Whittier. It was a relief that Richard Ramirez was caught. Years later I got a book about the murders and it was hard to read. Much of what he did rivals horror movies. A really sick individual who deserved the death penalty but died comfortably in a prison hospital.

One of the most disturbed serial killers that I've ever come across in my years interested in serial killers. Though I feel he was molded by the war stories he was told as a youth. I think those built his curiousity and then gradually a monster was born. I don't think he'd have went down such a distructive path if he hadn't been led astray. Yes he must be psychopathic, but I think he'd have maybe just been a petty thief or something if he'd be breaking the law at all. It's kind of like that movie Sliding Doors. The Path of your life can be derailed very easily. And it most likely is every day in the micro decisions we make. Things we say. Places we go. But for sure Ramirez chose some fkd up paths!

Definition of Pure Evil is Richard Ramirez.
@khosmoz
@khosmoz 8 месяцев назад
It's quite simple. He saw those Polaroid photos of raped and killed vietnamese women as a child. He was raised for things like that to be normal. And he was tutored by this very older cousin, who also shot his wife in front of him, to use and make up weapons and fight. It was as normal to him, as is watching tick tock videos all day is normal to an average child now. Being severely abused since very early age, he never saw love, as most people think of it. Everyone was an enemy to him. There were literally no moral boundaries, cause they never existed. And, as he was on coke all the time, it made him incredibly horny and aggressive (getting to the snort again). Coke simply makes a person think they are very special. Like the king of the day or something. Everything becomes surrealistic. There is a saying: give an ignorant man a drug, and he will become more ignorant.
@kristinab1078
@kristinab1078 8 месяцев назад
@@khosmoz I don't think it's quite so simple. Certainly his life events and influences, combined with drugs, contributed to this man's warped mind. However, there are others who have experienced terrible abuse and viewed things they never should have as children, yet few become as evil as this guy. Many people actually overcome their tragic pasts and the abuse and pain stops with them and doesn't proceed into the next generation.

Hispanics take care of their neighborhoods. They unify if a threat arrives. I live in a Hispanic neighborhood and it is safe. My car never gets bothered. Neighbors are polite. Ramirez created his downfall starting problems. They knew he was an outsider.

I know the Two people who first stomped the Nightstalker. It wasnt the guy with the pipe. It was the neighbors to the red mustang. Jaime and Julio. They were the first ones to chase him down. When they realized it was the Nightstalker, he took that chance to run again, but his ass was already beat.

I watched your Onion Murder video last night and was tempted to request either a Richard Ramirez or Edmund Kemper video. I'm not a fan of glorifying serial killers but you guys are really respectful, and it's interesting for someone like me whose never been to America to see where these events occured.

My mother, Maria got the picture ,we bothj went back to my room, and saw Richard. After, he took off. My mother called, my auncle Jessie and the police. By the time the police arrived he was no where to be found. ..

It's supposed to be funny. I did find it very funny. Especially the love affair with the aerobics teacher. Hillarious. A very good parody. The best season after the first one. The costumes and the characters, haha, I could not get over it, so darn funny. And in the ending I cried. Richard got, what he deserved, yes.

@@karenjordan9607Well, the Satan's ball, it reminds me of a really famous book by Mikhail Bulgakov - "The Master and Margarita". Margarita, who is a witch, is summoned by Satan, grabs a broomstick and flies off into the night completely naked to visit a prominent ball, held by Satan yearly. All the worst people in the world's history are invited, most of them dead. So I think, the ball in AHS is inspired by this incredibly famous novel. Of course, it has been years, since I watched the season, but I remember the plotline being about inviting the most evil people and having a party. Putin was not invited, though. Such a shame.

This was a terrifying time!! I was 13 then and living in the "Bay Area" only 3 hours or so North...anytime you heard that name "The Night Stalker" it brought chills!! I grew up with a girl that thought she saw him spying on her in the shower, through the bathroom window around 87'88; A dog scared him off and he ran down the side yard but who knows.... Im certain he was up and down the Coast of Cali, with DNA evidence not really existing in much capacity in the mid 80's, I think the Golden State Killer and Richard probably killed 50 people between them, no-one really knows. Thank God for those brave men that beat him and stopped him!!

It's funny, how he tries to look so overly intelligent and self-educated, but so stupidly becomes found out about, and then in the police car he looks so incredibly scared, one can see that - he is basically wetting himself. Sigh... All the bad rep about satanism... This guy did not do a favour to satanists. Thank you for the video! ❤

High praise for the men who confronted him and didn't even realize it was the evil person that scared everyone in the area. A whole community getting together to make sure he didn't get away. Michael, I don't blame you at all for not wanting to be on the 1st floor. Thank you for telling about the heroes who stopped him.
