Ebert was a great journalist, writer, film critic, television personality, humorist and human being. I began reading his reviews when I was 13 years old. Discovering him literally changed my life. For that, I will be forever grateful.
Trust me, if I went back to the past and told you that Richard Roeper was not only Gene Siskel's successor, but also Roger Ebert's successor, you would not believe me.
It was sad when Richard left the show in 2008 and too bad he was not available for the relaunch. If they do relaunch the show again, get Richard and Michael Phillips.

This schmuck is talking about "a great piece of cinema from Martin Scorsese?" Like what? CASINO? CASINO should be studied in film schools as an example of how not to make a movie.
goback3spaces taxi driver, goodfellas, king of comedy, and raging bull, among others. Not trying to start a fight, but Scorsese is a great filmmaker. Surely he had flops, but there are plenty of other movies u should check out before judging the director on just one film.
