I can’t bring myself to feel sad for him. He lived more during that flight than most people do in their entire lives. He died in control, on his own terms. He knew that even if he’d landed safely, his life was over. He would spend the prime of his life in prison and he’d never be allowed near aviation again. Rest in peace Sky King. You lived, you flew.

If only he wasn’t able to jump inside that plane and started it, none of this would’ve happened.” You can’t prevent everybody from everything, and it is not the fault of security that he was able to do this. He did it and no one else is responsible. He alone messed up. He could’ve killed so many more innocent people. He is no “ hero”. But having said that I’m sure his family will remain in pain for many years to come. For them I grieve.

What an incredible dive into a story I knew nothing about. You have such an amazing ability to stay neutral anytime you tell a story. I really don’t know why other complain about the sound quality as to me it’s perfect. I also immerse myself completely when watching though as I don’t like any distractions because I don’t want to miss one word of your narration. Maybe the music helps me stay focused and that’s why it’s always perfect for me? I don’t know but thank you for this episode and educating me on this event that I hadn’t heard of to date.

Great video. I’ve never heard of Beebo, so thank you. I don’t see why it was a high-jacking when the Wikipedia definition said “stolen in transit”. It was in maintenance. You can’t car-jack a parked, empty car. He just stole something 99% of people without experience couldn’t do. I appreciated Andrew’s calm demeanor but there was time to get a therapist involved or at least his wife. And how did he lift off and fly that plane anyway with no experience? I’m sorry his life ended like that.

Your video, as usual, is so well put together, illustrated, commented and edited, perhaps the music is a little loud sometimes, but it is so breathtaking that I forgot about it .... thanks for your incredible work, it is worth ten times the long period of waiting between two videos.

God, this is so heartbreaking... It's also quite scary that one person was able to hijack an airliner so easily...Considering the events of 9/11, this should have been an impossible feat by now. Thankfully, Rich wasn't a terrorist, but it's frightening to imagine the repercussions if a situation like this were to have turned in that direction...

I'm sorry for Beebo and his family. While I know Beebo didn't want to hurt anyone he so easily could have. So many people state he crashed on an uninhabited island which as you showed not to be true. I'm glad you presented a properly balanced and accurate sequence of events.

I feel terribly for his family, especially his wife and kids. But I have to disagree with his stepbrother. The "blame" if you want to call it that, is on Beebo. He boarded, he started it, and he decided to fly it. You don't put the blame on others for which you are to blame. I call it the liberal way of thinking- blame everyone else but the person who is actually at fault. Regardless, RIP Beebo. 🙏

I do have a controversial comment. Beebo’s stepbrother saying that he shouldn’t have had access to the plane. He should have “never” been able to do that. That is bs. Guns for example. People should never have been able to purchase a firearm and kill innocent people but they did. It was a choice he made and it put peoples lives in danger. We have all known a “beebo.” A person who tries to cover up hurt with humor. It is so sad because he had all of the support and love surrounding him and he still chose to do this. There are people who have nobody to love them and no support system and they manage to do the right thing. Even if they take their own lives, they don’t put others in danger in the process. I like the kind of kid Beebo was and is totally the kind of guy that I could see myself hanging out with, but this was negligent. Regardless of how nice he was and made people laugh and had a strong Christian faith, he should never have put others lives in danger.
