We had a meteorologist here in Oklahoma, Damon Lane, cover while his wife was hit in the Moore, OK tornado. He was shaken, but not stirred, and was forever famous for it. The strength they have to do this, is beside me. I always choke up when mass damage happens.
Incredible young man. Very professional in the face of danger. Glad to see he is still the Chief Meteorologist at WVUA. He represents Alabama well. Kudos to Richard and his team. Outstanding.
@rnuge01 And you know what makes his coverage even more impressive? .....His home was destroyed by this tornado as it passed by Tuscaloosa and toward the northeast.
One reason WVUA's signal was distorted, is because of the Super Cell Thunder storm that became a tornado. When the Tornado left Tuscaloosa and Tuscaloosa County and headed into Jefferson County, ABC, NBC, Fox6 CBS local channels all experienced times when the image quality were distorted. And, WVUA is not a HD channel like ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox6 :)
This video just shows the difference between the meteorologists in Oklahoma and the ones everywhere else. The meteorologists in Oklahoma are used to tornadoes the ones everywhere else are not.
@@darylstreet5749 its ok lmao i just was saying that yes oklahoma sees ALOT of tornadoes but Dixie alley does as well ESPECIALLY Alabama! You should check out james spanns coverage of this tornado outbreak. Richard scott is NOTHING compared to him for sure... Him and the meteorologists in Oklahoma are in a league of their own
That thing developed so fast! That was crazy and scary!! I live in the panhandle of Texas and we depend on our weather guys so much! I have so much respect for what these guys were doing that day! Litterally have tears in my eyes right now! I just can't imagine watching that thing coming right at you and still keeping the compsure they did!
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
it looks like the naader only moved 2 blocks cant tell though they say some move at 55 to 70 mph that would be a mile a minute i seriously doubt that sorry for the dudes house yes weather women man are crucial to saveing lives
RagingGinger413 Don't get upset,...I was only trying to have people smile to take their mind off of a horrible situation. I have somewhat of an idea of what you went through. I was in a tornado December 2, 1982 that occurred at 2:20 p.m. Still think about it to this day and happy I am alive for you and I to talk about. Please accept my apologies,......I didn't intend to upset anyone.
tarence319 Just be careful what you say. I am good friends with Richard. He lost his home in that tornado. He still kept calm on the air. You can look on my channel for a video of the damage to my grandparents home.
RagingGinger413 Thanks for the info,.....I had no idea he lost his home during this tornado. I will in fact take a look at your channel to see the videos. Again, please accept my apologies,.....no harm was intended.
tarence319 Good for you tarence319 for your apology. It's obvious you didn't mean anything by your initial comment, but you were still adult enough to apologize to anyone it may have offended. Classy. We need more commenters like you on RU-vid.
CrocDoc1 Thank you so much. I Love being on here strictly to listen, learn and have fun. Even if I disagree with something, I do my best not to hurt anyone's feelings when addressing an issue because being evil is not cool at all. Again, thank you so much for your kind words and I look forward to talking with you more in the future.
It is April 27, but with this kind of screen quality, the only channel I could think of this being is University of Alabama's tv channel with this bad of quality.
The whole time I was distracted by the frequent pausing mid sentence to allow for him super loud swallowing. Poor guy sounds like he needs to cough really badly but is swallowing instead.
