God has been showing me that today, that this song is powerful because it’s been on constant repeat. God is about to show me a mighty work with this praise!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Amen! Imagine this song being featured during Jesus' Coronation Ceremony when He is crowned King of kings and Lord of lords! What an awesome day that will be!
Anybody with a musical background knows this is a difficult piece to put together with his Genius + Gods Anointing = chills. ..no Roman church can top that. Those voices knocked on heavens door that day. Soooo powerful... like an Army!!!. ..that was and still is the most memorizing intro and song Orchestrated by one of the greatesr Gospel Songwriter/Composure of our time
Oh my God y'all!!!! My 8 year old says PLAY ANTHEM MAMA PLAY ANTHEM!! This song MAKES me praise. Y'all are right. It's perfect for inviting the Holy Spirit I'm! Love it!
Richard Smallwood is the only person I know who will compose an anthem and it turns into a Hallelujah good time!!!! Ain't no body mad but the devil!!!! T G B T G
I've been looking for this masterpiece for almost 7 years or even more. I am from a little island in the Caribbean and when I was a kid there was group of missionaries who gave us some WOW CD's and this song was in it, I remember dancing and praising with my cousin in our living room and this one was our favorite. I'm crying the way I'm happy ☺️
Omg .. the only choir song I had to go home and practice for weeks to get down. It's been years and every Alto note is branded to my brain 🤣 I was determined!!!
How do you just come through and SLAY like that. What I love about his singers is that they don't rehearse their ad-libs, they just sing from the heart! #relationship
The third soloist is amazing. I recognize her from Thank You. She's always bringing the scriptures when she sings which really makes a difference. I feel the shift when she starts exalting the Lord with The Word.
@@chelseamcnorton4071 After 7 months of no answer, you may have already figured out what she said, but if not... The first time she said: "O magnify the Lord with me Let us exalt His name together He is worthy of all glory I will bless Him all of the time." The second time she recited a hymn: "I came to Jesus just as I was Weary, worn and sad But I found in Him a resting place And Jesus has made me glad" Then she went into: "I will bless Him I will extol Him I've got to honor Him I've got to adore Him I've got to worship 'Cause He is good He is good, etc."
I know I've commented on here before, but this song is absolute GENIUS!! I absolutely LOVE Renee's voice!! She's one of the most underrated altos back there! When she comes back out for the reprise at 5:27 with her back arched, singing, "Jehovah Shalom...." to that high F# that she growls at 5:40, that just does it for me! It did something to Richard, too, because he looked back at her, as if to say, "You better sing!"
Yes yes yes I hear this worship song in my spirit all through out the day and night To You be the glory Lord, the honor and the praise Oh magnify the Lord with me
They kind of had to. It was a live recording. I believe the audience wanted to go crazy. I would've wanted to. But, Richard Smallwood was renting the church, the band, the dancers, the media team, etc. for an allotted time.
This song brings me to tears. I bought the video of this and my daughter and I would sit and watch this. She'd mimic all the soloist and when it came to the last one she had the words ( and actions down to the t). Now she's in college studying Voice, and Music composition and is living out her walk with Jesus. THANK YOU RICHARD SMALLWOOD AND THE SMALLWOOD SINGERS for your imprint.
Your comment shows the importance of planting God, His Word, songs of praise and gratitude into our children at an early age. Congratulations to and praise God for both you and your daughter.
Seems to me that you trained your child well in the path that she should go. Praise God for you and your daughter 🙏 ❤️. Beautiful and encouraging story.
I remember seeing Richard Smallwood in a small church in Kansas City when I was younger. He was playing the piano and I just remember never hearing nothing like what he played. It was so beautiful and heavenly you can tell God is within him. I think about it from time to time.
This song is quite the masterpiece overall, but I’m most moved at how the praises of God’s people went to a higher level during the reprise! I especially love what Min. Charrisse Nelson brings when she leads. Sometimes you gotta let loose and be free as you worship the King!
YES!!!! she looked like she was about to take flight AND finish a sermon towards the (final) ending :-D I'm falling in LOVE with her voice all over again. it's so smooth yet powerful, especially when she hits her second wind
Man Aaron!!! You are so correct/ I just love this!!!!! I be at the house going all the way in..Just free to worship. Im at work now looking crazy. The Boss walked by and said are there flies bothering you. ( he caught my hands in the air, lol) I said No Sir, just something in the air.. I wanted to turn this screen around, press repeat and let him see for himself. Lord, Im just too full... I could eat this alone for lunch!
We will never have such great music, it's heartbreaking because I as a young person appreciate Richard's music and talent. Lord, step in for our fallen world. And to these beautiful souls, keep glorifying his Name and may God bless you all.
2019!! And this song; along with everything Richard and this ensemble had performed, STILL is above anything out now. This is real worship, singing and musicianship. I simple love, love, Love Richard Smallwood and vision.
Charisse is blessed with such a ministry, She could start preaching in there if you let her... The other two ladies blessed God and you felt it, but I bet you really felt Charisse!!! Continue to bless God Richard, for the Lord blessed you with such a musical genius, that you could do nothing else but lift Him up!!!
I was there...I'm on camera too! My aunt in NC called my mother and said she saw me on a Richard Smallwood video. I've been stopped on the subway...somebody else saw the video! LOL This was a GREAT concert...UNFORGETTABLE!
Sept 2020 God remains worthy to be praised! Glory to God! The Spirit of God remains powerful! Thank you Richard Smallwood, soloists, choir members, musicians, sound team and everyone in service to THE MOST HIGH GOD for your obedience and faithfulness to God by sharing the gifts God gave you with the world!❤️🙏🏽
+Leomerya12 True! There are plenty of wonderful gospel choirs out there, but in terms of refinement and richness of tone, Vision is in a higher echelon. Perhaps I’d put Donald Lawrence’s choirs (the Tri-City Singers, etc.) in that category too, but that’s about it. Richard Smallwood put together one GREAT ensemble back in ‘95.
Thank you for this post. Richard was one of the first gospel artist I fell in love with when I was new to my walk with Christ. Listening to this music brings me back to my teenage years. I was the only one in my household attending church. I used to play my music in my bedroom and be so happy.
those sisters can sang...i love this one...they sing from down in jerusalem...and beyond...i just love it...blessings dear sisters...and blessings dear richard...
been listing to all of his music tonight, it is not just music,, it is true worship.. where you can feel the anointing right here in the quite of my home.. This is real ministry. not just making noise.
OMG.... I didn't realize that the tenors split into 2 parts at 1:30. All this time I thought(and everyone I've seen sing this song) always did 1 tenor, 1 alto, and 2 soprano parts!! WOW!
