Just make sure *you* don't visit Stallman when he has a nightmare, and if you do, make sure you are not hovering over him. There is a backstory (XKCD 225).
in 2006 the only content was people making videos of themselves and the youtuber with the most amount of subscribers was only 25,000. web.archive.org/web/20060903035149/ru-vid.com?s=ms&t=a&g=0
@Alejandro, he mainly listens to foreign folk music and likes all kinds of folklore music. As a Bulgarian myself, I'm very glad when people like our music and food and I'm proud. Also, folk music has kind of a free licence, because it is made by the people and anyone has the right to perform it and change a few things, making their own version and distribute it :)
7/4 is not an easy timing to keep while singing, props to Stallman for writing an interesting theme song for free software, unlike the poppy consumer diarrhea Microsoft commercials force my speakers to excrete.
More like Fascist Software movement. Bunch of man babies crying about what you can and can't use and trying to dictate. He's worse than Steve Jobs at that point, he might as well just stop deluding himself at this point and join forces with apple since they want the same thing word for word. Slapping a cute lil "GNU/FSF" label on your software doesn't change shoving it downs the worlds throat as the only stuff they should be using just like Apple does. Honestly if it wasn't for Mint and MX and TAILS unruining debian it would be nowhere near where it is today.
It's a small cringy moment for sure, but worth the cost. The man started a great movement and GNU tools are useful. The least we can do is indulge his weird song. RMS forever.
Nat Geo Live be like: Ah, the neckbeard. Truly a rare species of total loser. Here we observe a neckbeard in it's natural habitat, most commonly called "mom's basement". it appears to be correcting some random other loser on the internet about how it is really called "GNU/Linux" and not just "Linux". This is rare footage of a neckbeard turning on Caps Lock and breathing very heavily.
Stallman is more than just a programmer guru, he is a humanist, a very, very valuable human being. He doesn't care about money, just share knowldege. Thanks for the GNU. We all in the linux community love you!
@@skia5635 LOL. Well, still using GNU/Linux, learned Python…shocked about the accusations against Stallman for harassment to a girl… quitting the FSF… long story on 14 yrs 😅
if you play Team Fortress 2 you hate this song. For people who don’t play, there are bots in the game now and they want you to download some software and they mike spam this song😂
Trash game for mentally challenged losers and tryhards that fail at everything else so they cling to tf2 to pretend to be gamers. Glad it's finally dead, really shows what losers you guys are now that you don't have normies to hide against.
@@nomadkxm3240 He is fluent and speaks a great Spanish. His pronunciation is a bit lacky, but hey, he is best that 90% of the foreigners I know trying to speak it.
Yesterday night he came here to Buenos Aires =) He has a computerlike voice when speaking Spanish XD He's a hell of a man, he gets too extreme sometimes, but St. IGNUcius was the best laugh I had in months. In the middle of the speech, we all got up and sang "Olé, olé olé olé // Stallman, Stallman!" (It would kinda be "go on, go on, go on, Stallman, Stallman")
actually it's more complex than it looks, timing wise. it looks like he used the Feynman approach of dividing up the measure into equal parts, as a starting point, to figure out the interplay of vocals to hand movements
I like the earnestness of the song. Plus, if you're gonna have a (probably) impossible dream for the future, at least make it a good and positive one like this. I like the song. It probably can't ever actually happen, but I think it's an ideal state worth working towards.
I too wrote some additional verses: When we share our mighty knowledge Among us, hackers, among us We'll escape all golden cages Free at last, hackers, free at last We can beat the evil system You know how, hackers, you know how By supporting one another Unite now, hackers, unite now.
