"I" like how Richard makes no concession to there being a seperate person. It isn't that the person can't do anything to bring about liberation, awakening, whatever term you want to use. It's that there is no person in the first place that can bring about liberation. Those are 2 entirely different things. And it's not seen until it's seen and it's not seen by anyone. When it is seen (by no one) it is seen to have always been that way. ALL SEEKING THEN STOPS. Other spiritual teachers seem to reinforce the apparent seperate person while at the same time saying there is no separate person. Thus the seeking continues. Richard cuts through all of that without compromise. The (apparent) mind can (appear to) have a hard time with this refusal to compromise.

Isn't what Richard as well as Tony Parsons point to spoken many years before by Ramana Maharishi and Ramesh Balsekar? They speak the same but use a different way to explain the unexplainable!!
I love it. It is a unique and a wonder. Just look, for example, i see, and yet not me seeing but seeing is just happening, i listened to and yet not me but hearing is just happening, i am seating on a chair, but it is not me sitting, sitting is just going on, but the mind tents to take over the doing of all this, i believe this is what they called illusion of the ego mind.
is there any way to establish (other than their words [-which may be merely parroting the words of the High Priest of FUTILITY himself, tony parsons] ) whether a 'teacher' resides in oneness? if like ART, it's just a matter of asserting it to be so (duchamp) and having the right schtick or quickness of thought to brazen it out, then how are we to know whether the whole thing isn't a con trick devised to provide certain people with a lazy life and lots of adoring acolytes?
Great video. Very clear, easy and spontaneous pointing by all 3 guests, especially Richard and David. A little child could grasp it. They are not telling unnecessary stories. How hard is it to 'be'... as simple as that. Pure awareness.
There seems to be a slight disagreement regarding this 'person' issue between Richard and Tim...? Richard seems to me far more radical in his expression of Oneness whereas Tim allows more space for an understanding of equally acknowledged Polarities, - opposites as well as the Whole as Oneness. Tim seems to allow Realisation to mean expression and enjoyment of 'love' (the nature of which may sometimes not be clear), and the game of life itself to have importance in that understanding of Realisation. Of course there needs to be the sort of stepping back, and spaciousness, to appreciate the 'game' (for want of a better way of putting it), but Tim's take on 'Enlightenment' seems somehow more based on the relative, not truly the Tao...? Richard has none of it, and is as radical and sweeping in his description of 'What Is' as Tony Parsons! I was really taken by David Bingham's way of saying what Awakening is, and very interested in his view of Eckhart Tolle -- basically making the point that Eckhart's practices as taught are really just ways of growing and feeling comfortable, receiving some kind of healing, on the relative level, and not to be mistaken for true Realisation. The point David makes, too, about how all this language is limited in describing 'What Is', and 'What is', is simply 'That', regardless of how we 'frame' it, seems to me to hit the nail right on the head - finally?What else is there to argue about when that is taken on board? Words words words. None of these words, this or that, will be able to tell us what 'This' is, even Richard's apparently extreme or radical descriptions!
For me Tim is wrong. My 'person' did completely disappear. The universe lives and flows through 'me'. 'I' don't need to do anything. Things just happen without effort. Ordinary life goes on.
This non duality is a strange concept indeed. I understand what they are saying (I think) but struggle with it. Everybody I have ever met has hopes and dreams.
Was listening to author of *Greatest* *Secret* yesterday, and she came to freedom through David Bingham which brought me to various of his interviews on RU-vid. He is into "effortless living", rather than talking much about nondoership, and he does say, on other talks, that many people live like that: people you might meet who just go with the flow and get things done --- and lead very nice happy lives. 😁 He keeps it very simple, and yes, you can have lots of desires met ... going with awareness as your true being. *
I found an Indian scripture that describes exactly what modern nonduality is saying. It's called the Mandukya Karika. It's almost word for word, no liberation, no one who seeks it. Nothing new under the sun 🌞
I just want to say Richard that your metaphor of feeling powerful in a dream "rocked me." Yes you may feel powerful in the constructed drama of the dream but nothing more than dreaming actually happened. It is a further an irony to think that the whole drama was "you." All the panel members spoke from the perspective of enlightenment. You-all are what enlightenment looks like and sounds like. It is wonder.
at 33.44 what came to my mind is ___________ "you are immersed in knowledge. if you think "you are limited" then you hold that much limited knowledge. if you think otherwise "i am Unlimited-Omnipresence" then its YOU who pervades the "knowledge"
Tim, if it is realized that there's 'no one' why would you enjoy the game of Life? Life is only interesting until there is 'someone. When the individual is gone, so is the interest in the World. That's 'Vairagya'.
At 43:55 being paralysed. i view as below in the infinite being any point can be choosen as powerful and at the same point some can feel powerless. The point of powerless paralysed state is as well the infinite power as well. Change in the thought process, choosing to be powerful or just BEING will manifest the wanted state
My thought about the questioner's question on am I powerless or powerful, I think its their ego not wanting to loose its power on survival and also wanting to be someone, they are scared to let go because then they are no more.....
I prefer the oneness without a person because my person’s experience is far from wow. It’s more just disappointing and miserable and never fulfilled. When there is no person there’s just what’s happening and it’s complete without the need of circumstances
I did lucid dream and on one occasion was flying an airliner then my consciousness thought I cannot fly these things and I crashed.All done in full consciousness.
This is old but I must say if you're saying there's no experience, you're solidifying the Absolute as concept. It isn't true to say a dream or experience is "nothing." That's a duality because it is only "nothing" when COMPARED to the Absolute. In the Absolute there is no Absolute. Thinking of it relatively or as separately exsting shows an incomplete realization of emptiness.
What i realized is that we can not see what they see, and there is no way we can improve on the way we see, and therefore "me" of me has no choice, sorry, ooh then i realized that i can just choose to allow my powerlessness to be. Again, Then i realized that ohh that is the way, "allow" _surrender.
I agree with almost everything Richard said, but when I check his website he charges 65 pounds for one hour session video call. I though there was none here, but apparently there is a spiritual teacher who charges money to the seeker.

Maybe Adam sought to live in the mind: which is deadness: a thought can not hear, as Terrence Stephens says. Adam ate of the knowledge of good & evil ... that fucked him up.
@@zatoichiable yes, easier to say than do I have been following this kind of teaching for years ... and there are lots of words. Lots and lots of words. But everyone has a different way to get there ... some of us need to address childhood wounds. Going spiritual and using spiritual words can help, if one had a practice, e.g. bathing in awareness and going further: looking at feelings from identification with awareness. If one doesn't have a practice and uses all the right words and phrases, then one may as well be in a swimming club ... or take up motor racing: maybe motor racing as that can be a spectator sport too 🌞
@donlarsennn It depends. If the 'person' making the statement is referring to just the naked, immediate awareness of the glass of water, then that is pointing to reality, i.e., the 'suchness' of that moment as pure Awareness without a Subject.
if the first guy who spoke, was to say for example learn how sound travels, and how many of the things he mentions occur, then mystery would be gone. yes there are a lot of things happening at once, but in a given life span of a human being; it is impossible to know how everything works at a level higher than novice. and that is stretch.
Ha! But I like Tim's sense of wander. I disagree with Richard when he says there is no experience. I've had experiences of heightened states. And you're right.. the person can disappear. Or the person does what he does, I'm just not him. lol
What Richard points to (Nothing ) and where Tim and David point to (awareness) have totally nothing to do with each other . Nothing !!!! And yes, i agree....Harry....tooo much talking.
i see you all the time, you are like a non-dual policeman... that's also a 'me' advocating non-duality even though this 'me' is quite precise about what it is in its own respect. And pure awareness is what you can call 'nothing', it's an empty seeing, it's a seeing without a sense of individuality... doesn't matter what your father tony parsons said about 'awareness' in his own terms. Non-duality is not a belief-system, there are no right words to describe it because it's undescribable, words are only pointers.
I hear you, but I get no sense of David Bingham being ‘male’ dominant in any of his interviews. He is refreshing and has no book to sell. His interviews with Renate are lovely.

Those who profess nonduality realize reality in its natural form but lack outside imput from God, which leads them to see reality from their view only. Duality will only be realized when contact from God occurs, which is incredibly rare, but dispels the nonduality concept.
who is the one that will move closer to 'God' or contact 'God'..? it's just an idea that your mind has borrowed from the outside. In reality, all of it is being played out inside of you, the no-you, the infintie you which isn't personal...
I'm so sick of this being upheld as deeply insightful - Tim is more alive but the other two are dead belown fhe neckline - this head centric fascination with the no self experience is a begining not an end point - the person going up the escalator is at the threshold of an enormous journey - they have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes - and are still possessed by the idea they have got this - they bare not cooked through to their bones
The rabbit hole in all its depth has got me nowhere. I'm so glad that now l know there's nowhere to go. The neurosis is over and l can thank the man on the left who is dead below the neck.
