Now, just imagine if Wagner had been interested in radical Feminism, and s/he had reconceived the sometimes paper-thin and irritating "wise-fool" of Siegfried, as instead a fully adult woman, a tom-boyish Siegfrieda. Thus what these two heaven-blessed lovers are battling is not just the dirty money-grabbing world of 19th century bourgeois capitalism (Alberich and Family), but the deeper and very poisonous dialectic of patriarchal contempt for womanity and our life-creative love!
