Juhi Chawla started her career as Miss India in 1984 and later established herself as a leading actress in Bollywood and other regional films. With films like Qayamat Se Qayamat, Yes Boss, Darr, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Ishq, and Lootere, Juhi proved her versatility. She, along with Shah Rukh Khan, co-founded the production company, Dreamz Unlimited, which was later transformed into Red Chillies Entertainment.
Juhi Chawla married Jay Mehta, owner of The Mehta Group, in 1995. The couple welcomed two children, a daughter, Jahnavi, in 2001 and a son, Arjun, in 2003. In addition to owning the Mehta Group, Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla are co-owners of the Indian Premier League’s team, Kolkata Knight Riders with actor Shah Rukh Khan. According to Forbes, KKR is valued at 216 million dollars, making it the third most valuable brand in the IPL.
The much-in-love couple lives in this luxurious house in Malabar Hills, a residential neighbourhood in South Mumbai, one of the poshest neighbourhoods. It is a multi-storied property and offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea. Jay and Juhi, along with their kids, own two floors of the house, and the unoccupied floors have Jay Mehta’s exquisite art collection.
Though Juhi has not done any film in more than a decade, for a single appearance, the actress charges in crores. As per multiple reports, Juhi and her husband, Jay Mehta, hold a 45 per cent share in KKR. She has a fetish for cars and owns the most luxurious beauties like Aston Martin Rapide, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S Class, Jaguar XJ, and Porsche Cayenne in her garage.
Apart from being named the richest actress, Juhi has also bagged the sixth position in the top 10 self-made women list. As she was named one of the silver screen titans in the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, Juhi surpassed actresses like Aishwarya Rai (Rs. 900 crores), Priyanka Chopra (Rs. 850 crores), Alia Bhatt (Rs. 550 crores), Deepika Padukone (Rs. 400 crores), and Katrina Kaif (Rs. 240 crores).
