you should put the scale on top of a large piece of paper so if anything misses the scale you can pick up the paper, there was a gold flake that missed the scale that you did not pick up on camera at least.. watch at 21:19 ish you will see the gold miss the scale..

you just keep going back for more dirt I use a canvas bucket small but fits in the pack (rolls up) if you find some sweet dirt you don't have to go back to dig fill the pan fill the bucket pan away holds several pounds of dirt and you don't have to carry a 5 gallon bucket (rolls up fits in the pack) (amazon) it's a water bucket but they show tools in it like $9 carry 2 if you want

I just subscribed tonight as it is my first to find you.. a youtube suggestion. Love the accent but more the fact that what you work in mirrors here in alaska. I see a guy take his black sand out with him and do the final clean up at home as the space taken doesn't weigh him down. My real point intended for you is like said, same as here and well he uses a blue bowl that swirls the sand and gold up the center. There is fine goldin that sand and it picks his recovery up by about fifty percent. Out there hard to see but when it all comes out in the end, it would surprise you. Now that I found you, I will find his link and post it for you to check out as we all just want what we worked for and no more. You sound like a hard woking easy going lad (I'm 72) so offence I hope as age goes. I used to pan and I spent a good amount of time and effort to get what I found. My youngest boy and dad's shadow always kept me company and he would point out what interested him... he was pestering me s this rock he found at our water hole had his interest. So to keep him happy I look at whaaaat he was holding.... it started his savings account, he did find it fair and square, a six plus ounce piece of gold! I paid him more attention as he had mine.

I like your hand pump. There are ones over here that discharge the solids into a bucket through a side hose built off of the main suction tube. It's just a matter of building the right valves. The ones I've seen are all PVC.

Sweet find. They make those small 1 1/2 ton hydraulic jacks ,they aren't very heavy , what work they can do far outweighs packing the few extra pounds ,in 2 minutes or less it would have gotten that one rock loose , stay safe TANK

How do you usually find your spots? I'm in Beijing and been trying to pan at places up to 4h away, nothing yet after several places. Not even a flake. Protip: put your cleaned gold on a piece of paper, folded in half prior to weighing it out. You'll get more control and less spillage using this method.
