@@schlockmeister754 'Merican 'humour' just isn't as subtle or sophisticated as British humour. It's like it was aimed at 12.y.o.'s Looking at the racial make-up of the US today, perhaps not so surprising...

Really?! That’s disappointing. I’m American and I absolutely love British humor. Rik Mayall has been a favorite since I was a kid. Absolutely Fabulous, Are You Being Served, The Mighty Boosh, Monty Python, The Young Ones, Faulty Towers, Bottom, Mr. Bean, Black Adder, etc are all totally fantastic

​@@artmallory970I wouldn't call "Bottom" sophisticated. Which doesn't matter though, because it's very funny. Perhabs American humour such as "Friends" is sophisticated that much I can't even recognize it as humour. Probably it's just dull and the audience just laugh at it because of the background laughing tape.

Always had me in stitches laughing so hard at bottom, it was such a funny stupid series, but those ones are usually the best. Great pairing of Rick Mayell (RIP), and Adrian Edmondson.
