Love The Band Geeks. Just listened to True and it's amazing... So happy we have a band that can pull this off so well. Hoping they will play the UK really soon 😎
The energy is what stands out most. You’ve taken the embers and reignited the flame. Keep it going please. It’s the music of my youth reborn and it’ll have impact on everyone that discovers it anew. Not only is the legacy honored, it is expanded. Bravo!
Thank you Richie for always telling the story from the heart and in a VERY entertaining way! And Chris for the laughs and being the color commentator! Great album guys!
I so appreciate the energy and love you bring to the Yes music. Last year I felt transported to the concerts of the 70s, and I was one of those giving standing ovations at the shows! It was a thrill to hear Gates live again! And I appreciate that the new album is a true collaboration between you and Jon. It shows! I really love the album and the songs are getting stuck in my head! I hope the work between you all continues for a long time. Shine On! 😊❤️
Thank you Richie! You guys seem to have no ego. You are wonderful musicians and arrangers and thank you for helping Jon live happy and productive. The new album is off the charts, that is because it is not a copy of yes but an extension of Jon. The music is awesome, and you guys nailed it. Thank you for all the TIME you put in, I can hear it. You made me an old man at 68 very happy, Please make more albums. I bought the blue vinyl.
This is an amazing interview! I loved the Band Geeks from the first moment seeing them with Jon last year but I love them even more after hearing this. You guys have a lifelong fan in me. All of you made magic on stage and also on this incredible album! THANK YOU!!!
Excellent insightful interview with Richie and Chris. Learned so much about the recording process. Fascinating to hear about the drive of Jon to produce something special. It really is!
Richie, I hope you always stay this content and kind no matter how much higher your profile as a musicians rises. Cause you guys are definitely on the rise. I truly hope all your dreams are coming true and the doors keep opening for you.
WOW WOW WOW! What a fantastic walkthrough!! So wonderful to listen to how TRUE this constellation has come to be. All those small things that made it happen. It all feels like it is meant to be. No hesitation. Just forward. Make it happen. Stick to it and no stop. What a God’s grace collaboration! Now I have to listen to True again to “endorse”all the stuff you mentioned ❤️🤩❤️ Rock on 🤘
Great interview. The album is truly impressive. One thing I'll point out is not only does it have the obvious strong Yes vibes, but it also in places resembles some of the best moments of Jon's solo work.
Saw the show in Denver. I LOVED it!! I have been around music my entire life and was truly impressed with the performance! Jon and the Band Geeks were in excellent form (and nuance)!! I Will plan to see them again if given the opportunity!! I am considering this show a bucket list event. Full Stop.
Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks have delivered the best “Yes Album” since Magnification! I will always love Steve Howe and his band is really great but Jon Anderson has shown us what a “True” Yes record is! Checkmate!
Great interview I been a YES Fan since the beginning, I have one tattoo & it’s the YES insignia from The Tales Album, I saw you guys in Peach Tree City, Ga. last month & I’ve seen YES, ARW, Jon & Rick solo many times & I can tell you that you guys are thrilling to listen too for all YES FANS!!! Thank-you for giving YES fans an album we’ve always dreamed of but didn’t think would ever happen especially after the way Steve treated Jon, Trevor & Rick at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, thank-you Band Geeks from the bottom of YES Fan’s Hearts. Thank-you Scott for an awesome interview. GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Fascinating insight into the process of how this stunningly brilliant album came into being. Jon is astonishing at 79 and Richie and the Geeks awesome. It's the best Yes music I've heard in 20 plus years. Great video. It is Yes no matter what the diehards would say. Thanks to you, Richie and Chris - and Jon of course for the inspiration.
You guys are amazing something’s are so meant to be and this is a sign of programed evolution thank you so much for making my dream come TRUE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Anderson is YES
Great job guys! From what I heard so far the new album sounds great! Perhaps you want to convince Jon to reissue the album with a better cover with some cool artwork.
@41:15 slight amendment to this statement. No gospel singers on any Yes tracks. HOWEVER, there was a gospel choir on the “Three Ships” album. Richie and Co: you are (how many times is this guy going to say this?) living my dream! Rock guys!
@@ScottAMedina actually, I was listening to one of the songs (I was driving so I couldn’t pay attention to the name of the track) and there was a little musical ‘quotation’ from the song “Animation” which I thought was really really cool.
The album is really impressive and an unexpected Yes album. It would be wonderful if you go "Relayer" all the way next album(ns), with songs long and complex like there were no tomorrow. No one sings throughout 20 minutes extravaganzas better than Jon Anderson - and there will never be another Jon Anderson. His contrasting voice with heavier guitar is unmatchable. Hold on...Why not a 4 CD album with eight 20 minutes new songs like "TFTO part 2 plus Ollias of Sunhillow part 2 on steroids? What have you got to lose? ( paraphasing Crosby Stills and Nash)
It didn't seem respectful to go there. We already know that it was a photo shoot with Jon and his daughter, and it's Jon's prerogative to do what he wants to do for the album cover. I didn't imagine the Geeks would be able to say anything more about it, and it'd only put them in an awkward position.
❤ HAHA "I GOT A SURPRISE CALL from Jon too in early 2008 so Ive been blessed also to know how it feels 😂. By chance he saw my computer animation montage of Roger Dean's album art that I sent to him through MySpace and asked me to create 2D EFX for Stage Projections for possible Live solo shows of songs he'd written. During a wonderfully surreal brunch together in LA I was tongue tied with awe😮. 😢 Sadly he took ill not long after and the band fired him before their reunion so all the preliminary work was never finalized. But its a strange head spinner having Jon contact.you out of the blue😮😅😊 Dean animations > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mJLfoMNl_I4.htmlsi=NzWgagnxZ7j1ZjQn
