The double album "R. Havens 1984" (recorded in 1969) is really great. Wonderful versions.

Richie was the opening act at Woodstock in 1969.

saw richie havens in about 1970 or 1971. he was the 2nd act opening before blood, sweat, & tears. richie havens was so great that night that as the second opening act the crowd brought him out for 3 encores! he was absolutely outstanding. didn't get to see richie again until the late 90's in Milwaukee. again, mr havens was absolutely brilliant. thanks so much for posting this
