Back in 96' or 97', not sure what year exactly, he DJ'd at this rave in Vancouver, Canada I was at. Some dank warehouse on the east side of the city. He was the headliner. It was an amzing rave. It was dark and dank in the warehouse. The roof was leaking all over the place from the rain. There was a mist in the warehouse and they had these amazing lasers shooting evrywhere and the rain and mist made it unbelievable. The mdma back then helped and was amazing. After the party was over some friends I met at the party asked if I wanted to come back with them to the after party. I was all for it. We all hoped in a big cargo van and headed out. We were all looped and having a great time. Once we got to the after party place we all hoped out and stretched our legs. The after party was at some artists warehouse space. Maybe 2000sq ft big. And this place was decked out with even more lasers than the rave. The entire wall was speakers. Ive never heard music that loud before in my life. It turned out the friends I made that night were the party producers and all the DJs. There were maybe 100 people there. I smoked a big joint with Richie. Had no idea who he was other than listening to some mix tapes my buddy had before the rave that night. It was one of the best times I ever had. We partied all through the day. The cops came that morning too. Not to shut us down or anything. Just to check and make sure everyone was cool. They said not to worry about the noise but to just keep it to the space. It was amazing. If I could live a weekend over it would be that weekend. The energy, the people, the drugs. All perfect. I miss those days.
You're one of the luckiest to be a richie hawtin raver, to know him from this early, he's the greatest musician of all time, every underground artist rnow has been influenced by him, more or less
@@MPicoTTo2007 Yes, I wished to have walked in your (his) shoes that night. I also generally wished it was 1996 again, btw. Not just musically...No covid paranoia, clubs open, and me being in my twenties again...😁
Humano (Nuno Lisboa Remix) incredible Melodic Techno, at 45 minutes the track that is playing does not exist, it's a very good combination of loops, I remember being there and feeling that beautiful groove
The best part is (8:45) when the “I’m a hot dancer” chick puts her drink down and the girl to the left casually grabs it and throws it aside like no dear we don’t put liquids on the table with thousands of dollars in electronics thank you.
Nico Rivaud Dj its just funny with sound equipment and electronics people always put their drinks on-top of mixing board etc. If they knew how much nice equipment costs they would not do that
Watched this doing my cardio session, the more it goes the more you get excited, he's a guru, I had to stop my session then dancing this music in my gym room just alone like I was a teenager. But I'm 54 years young :-P
No es un DJ Normal domina ala perfección el arte de transmitir emociones y sensaciones lleva el set de menos a más con contrastes rítmicos extraordinarios dícese de aquel que se sale de lo normal y su calidad es superlativa!
I started in 1992 in Poland, my inspiration was this Master! I heard the first sounds of electronic music in Amsterdam in 1992, marcello was spinning beautifully on the radio
He was on the mainstage for my first DEMF in 2010. I never really listened to electronic music and was invited to the festival by a couple friends. Absolutely mind-blowing.
Awesome crowd! Long time since I saw this kind of crowd, everyone's dancing, great mood. Argentina, you rock! Do you know more sets in this genre with such a crowd?
The biggest Richie hawtin! I was so grateful to listened him last year in Peru - Lima, awasome and deep tracks that day. I could feel every sound into my body haha, i had eatean 1/2 hoffman. I really hope this year we can listen him again. #NORICHIENOPARTY
I saw Richie in Magma in Tenerife, it was the better experience I ever had on a party, he came late from another place, even like that the feelings that music gave me were unbelievable ❤ you’re 1 in 8 billions

I met Ritchie when he had just formed Cybersonik. He was touring with Moby and The Prodigy, which, at the time were much bigger deals than he was. My boyfriend at the time set it all up and flew them all to Lubbock, Texas. Ritchie was the coolest one of all of them, really nice guy.
