One of, if not the best ever essential mixes. You’ll also struggle to find a better 10 mins of Techno music that plays from 50 mins to an 1 hour in this set. Absolutely superb !
I want to eat, breath, sleep, BE techno. I've never in my life been taken on such exciting mini-journeys then when I'm listening to sets like this. It's unreal. If you don't get it, you never will.
Amen brother! Although when I started listening to electronic music when I was 13 (now 28), I started off with minimal and drum and bass, then trance, progressive, now techno, tech-step and electro house are my favorite. I always enjoy the other genres too. But I agree, normally you start with house (just because this is what you'll likely hear and enjoy first) and then gradually get introduced to the other genres.
Mr magic Richie!! in my opinion one of the most talented dj and producerr on earth, if it comes to techno and minimal techno! lots respect for Richie thats for sure!! greetzz
I Love... Me encanta. En todo momento no deja descansar... siempre arriba arriba... y la forma de mezclar los ritmos.. pero siempre manteniendolo arriba y super bien coordinado... vamos esto levanta hasta un muerto!!!!😂😂🙃🤓😜
I'm doin' same. Event that one is outstanding, my favorite shortlist goes like this: 3. Future Sound Of London (1993), 2. Bedouin (2020), 1. Trentemoller (2006). How 'bout?

only got into minimal tech few months ago, and i could not agree with your comment any more. been listening to a lot of richie hawtin, hopefully will see him live before the end of this year.
Holly Fuck.. Hour and 51 minutes of pure Greatness and Fire to the ears... if anyone listening to this attended Loco Dice's 16 hour set at Space Miami on 2-16-13.. The guy is a fucking beast!
It's one thing to hear this on youtube but an entirely different experience when there.... I seriously hope some of you go out and experience this live. The people, the sound system , lights, etc. enhance the entire experience. Keep your phones at home. It's also a great place to meet like minded people. All of my best friends i met through techno parties.
Richie Hawtin & Dubfire Back 2 Back + Magda & Loco Dice Back 2 Back Live @ 10 Years Of The Exit Festival (Essential Mix) - 18-07-2009 Novi Sad, Serbia :) be sure to come next time they play
Exactly lol don't feel old I was doing it in 93. Anyway .All you have to do is a little research & see most of the tracks sampled are from old house soungs. But like you said there was only one genre back then & all influences made an impact on the sound of house. These kids only know of the soulful commercial aspect of house.Minimal is nothing new.Only thing is we actually danced to it.No one stood around watching the dj all night =D.... Although sometimes it's so good you have to.
ya know, all the people saying commenting that they dont understand this style should listen to this mi x hey? it takes more than ten minutes to get it (:
unless your a really old git like me in who started djing in the late 80's!!! shit i feel old! Back in the day you would here a Detroit techno track mixed in with a NY garage track mixed in to a chicago house track. It didn't matter what it was baby so long as it was HOUSE!! It was only around 1990-91 when things got divided into the different genres and thats when the money men moved in and it all got commercial from then on. Peace
