Back in 1992, the band I was in at the time played The China Club in NYC, and after the set, I saw Richie sitting at a table .. I was making the rounds with a clipboard and mailing list ( pre-email ) and I figured "what the heck" - I introduced myself to Richie and asked if he'd like tp put his name on the mailing list - he was super nice, said he liked the songs, and put his address and phone on the list .. Just then, the singer in my band ( Drew ) comes over and I say "Drew this is Richie Kotzen, he was kind enough to put his name on the mailing list" .. Drew looks at Richie and says "wow, thanks man, are you in a band too ??" to which Richie says "Yes, I'm in Poison" I laughed, Richie laughed and Drew suddenly turned into Garth Algar
Did he make that last example up and that turned out to be Peace Sign? Or did he have already written it? It would be awesome if it'd be the first scenario hahaha
Total genius. I'm following his work for decades. Never, ever disappoints, despite he changes a bit in every record. BTW, some parts remind me Nuno from Extreme :)
