I've loved Status Quo from I was a young man, and have 30+ albums with them. Countless hours of air guitar and their music always seems to lift me when I'm in a bad mood. Rest in peace Rick Partfitt. I, for one, will never forget you. Thank you sooo much!

I'm a big Frantic Four fan and traditionalist, but Richie has done so well, and him being a Rick fan is great!

followed quo for over forty years plus and with Ricks passing the party is over now , the halcyon days of the seventies where quo at there very excellent rocking best ,piledriver released in 1971 is there crowning glory

I've met Rick twice and what a brilliant man he is. would of loved to of had the chance to play with him. 34 years of playing myself and it was all down to Rick been my idol . always wanted to play and I was very fortunate to learn very very fast. but to play with Rick would of been everything, but I will cherish the memory of meeting him twice and chatting for quite a while was something I won't forget. miss you loads

Miss Rick and miss seeing the Quo especially this time of year it kicked off my Christmas here in Brum. But When Freddie Mercury passed who would of thought Queen would be still going. Where there's life there's hope so keep the faith Quo Fans and we will see them again real soon.

Richie Malone - what a pair of shoes to fill. You weren't born when Quo started. But from what i've seen and heard you are already filling those shoes. If Rossi approves, you have no worries, the public will follow. They LOVE Quo. And you add your own style to the role, which is excellent..

It says a lot about Parfitt. A lot of guitarists won't let anyone touch, let alone play their guitars. He hands it over, no problem.

You do a brilliant job in general and always justice to the unforgettable Rick. Rock on and stay safe, Richie!

i was supposed to see Quo on the 22nd Dec at Newcastle but that was the day my own Dad died, 2 days later Rick passed ,the two men that were a constant in my life for 50 years ,your doing a great job keeping what Rick worked so hard for going Enjoy every minute.

I'm so sad Rick has died; what a great guitarist and archetypal rock 'n' roller and so British that I, as an ex pat Englishman (happily) living in Australia, feel homesick watching all the old interviews and banter between Francis Rossi and Rick. They had both become so wise - I was amazed, not having seen them for so long. The best bit here is that at around the 7 min mark, Rick plays some T-Bone Walker(!); he (and Rossi) are so unpretentious about their craft that lesser mortals have often (wrongly)assumed that what they did was easy and that they made it simple because they couldn't play more complex stuff; it's great to see Rick casually showing in a private moment, that this was not the case. I don't know whether Quo should continue or not, but I do know that it's up to Rossi, now Rick's gone and that's his call and no one else's. If he says it's bloody Status Quo, it is and if he says this guy Richie Malone does the business that's the word, because no one else knows what it is but Francis. He wouldn't undermine the legacy of his closest friend. Don't rest in peace Rick - keep rockin' and good luck Richie - do it your way !

Really miss this guy. There are lots of great rhythm players but he had a style of his own.

Celebrities are always falling off their respective perches and I don't usually care much, but when Rick died, I was deeply and genuinely saddened. God just wanted the world's best rhythm man in his own band.

Well chuffed for you mate. I spent a little bit of time around Rick and the rest of the band in the mid to late 70's. Soundchecks threw up some strange songs. I recall Rick singing 'Your Cheating Heart' in Glasgow. A top bloke in all respects.

i dont blame malone for taken the chance to replace rick p.but for ME this is no longer QUO. i grew up with parfitt and loved him not only as a singer guitarist and songwriter.he also was a great guy.even if malone does a better job,for me,QUO is history.good luck richie malone,and R I P rick parfitt.

I'm a quo fan of 27 years of age and I hate you right now lol well done man

For me, a fan since my teens and now in my late 40s (f, that went quick.. did I just say that?) the Fr4 line up was the one and only Quo... but all good things usually do come to an end, eventually. Things happen that cause change. Sometimes planned and in our control and sometimes not.. The changes in band members Quo went through made the original line up seem more seminal, traditional and classic for me.. However strange that may sound?

The original is always better then the copy. But Richie Malone is the best of the rest. The only one who is more or less capable to do the job. Quo was THE rock band from "Ma Kelly's greasy spoon until Just supposin'". After that, except from the live gigs, it was just a band.

Hope your getting paid the same money as Parfitt as your doing a good job but will you be singing the songs Parfitt normally sings as this may be taken into account and therefor you will get less money. Tip don't fall foul of Rossi mind look what happened to Alan L.

The clean-tone of Marshall amps are awful...now I'm playing a quilter amp...for me the best amps!
