Back in the 80's, my dad, when he was making names for the NES Zelda for he and my mother, accidentally put "Daddymo" as an account, instead of making a new one for mommy, so it stuck as a nickname, entirely unrelated to this sketch. Daddymo!

My brother and I watched this era of SNL as kids and we seldom laughed until we were sent to bed....only to quote and repeat the highlights of every show for the next 2 hours. Poor mom.

It's hard not to like the Richmeister. Yes, the character is ne-note (as most SNL characters are). But notice that Rich does not even pretend to do work, beyond having a pen and pad on his desk. Tom and Steve and Sandy and Randy -- and even Larry -- have work to do. But Rich exists only to do his schtick.
