Could kick both feet, exceptional pace even in his mid thirties, tremendous evasiveness, genuine rover the way he could read the ball off the pack, big game performer, should have been in the AFL Team of the Century, there have been few better players
@@jejona6989 Didn't he run second in a Stawell Gift? He was so good that he kind of had two careers. Tigers are still dirty that he didn't win the Brownlow as a Rover in 74 ; and once he started playing as a Flanker he was almost impossible to track given his endurance. He always seemed to be thirty yards in the clear and absolutely destroyed Cats in a Waverley Final in 1980. I can appreciate your sentiment about him being amongst the Best. I'd have McLeod and Matthews as my Rover and RR, and Daicos in the Pocket, but Hungry would definitely be in my Top 30 of the Modern Era.
Kevin Bartlett and Francis Bourke won all five premierships of the mighty Richmond Tigers sides of the mid 1960s to early 1980s. Nine preliminary finals, seven grand finals and five flags.
Is that goal at 1:42 from round 20, 1975? Looks like really early colour TV coverage, and is at the MCG. Do you have much more footage from 74-76? Really struggling to find much outside of grand finals haha
Please get this club song right FFS!!! . Its risking head and shin . Until the AFL forced us to sell our souls it was , for over 100 odd years fucking Shin. Captain blood is rolling in his grave.
