Rick and Morty 2x7 REACTION!! "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez" 

Interesting that Jerry is always at his best when the shit hits the fan. Worthless when society functions but a warrior in a total crisis but his hand must always be forced.

The reason their relationship never stays fixed is because all they ever do is a quick fix with a big romantic gesture or something. Which makes them feel good about each other in the moment,but in reality it takes lots of long hard work to really fix a relationship. But they are not willing to put in that kind of work,they're just looking for the quick and easy fix

This is definetely one of the episodes where the secondary story is more interesting than the main story. Exploring Beth and Jerry's broken relationship is both interesting and hilarious!

Everybody were talking about Jerry and Beth but nobody realize that Rick's situation is a mirror image of Depression and anxiety where nobody can understand your pain and actually help you.

the "They're codependent!" moment always gets me.

Shoutout to the editors for the lil note about the after credits scene. You didn't have to do that but you did anyways. You guys are the MVPs. Although.. idk how there can be more than one MVP, but whatever.

Beth and Jerry have never really solved their issues, all their make-ups have just been one or the other do a nice thing for the other or be in an adrenaline fueled environment which causes deeper infatuation. The core reasons for their dysfunction has never been addressed and they keep putting off dealing with it so it will always come back.

I get the feeling Aaron identifies a little too closely with Jerry.

The section about the mind perceptions of Beth and Jerry reminds me of Alien: Resurrection, and the perception of Beth does look really similar to a Xenomorph.

People disliking cuz they skipped the after credits? how lame, it was still a great reaction.

They keep having to "fix" their marriage cause of moments like in 2x4 when Jerry runs past Beth (while he is only carrying a cartoon of eggs and she is carrying 2 big ass bags of groceries), locks himself in the car, and then after making sure he was safe turns and warns beth about the crazy homeless guy with the broken bottle. Having a few good moments isnt enough to fix all of the issues in a marriage. In order to really fix their marrage Beth has to stop expecting Jerry to act manly (like his 1x5 counterpart did) and accept that he isnt a protector... not this version of him anyway.

I think Beth and Jerry keep backsliding because that's just how bad their relationship is. It's built on a bunch of levels of self-delusion, resentment, and fear, along with a weird attachment neither can truly understand. Each time they seem okay, it's because they've figured out one piece of the puzzle of their marriage, but only one part.

The cereal that they are eating are the ones with the lepricon that comes and eat them out of your stomach lmao.

Steve holt reference reminded me that The son of Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde in the Monster High universe was Jackson Jekyll aka (Holt Hyde), soooo...it follows that a bit of Rick’s Personality was based on Jekyll and Hyde and may have shown when the body of “Lil Rick” was fighting to maintain its use even though the subconscious behavior of the true Rick shined through in song and dance it was almost like 2 separate personalities controlling the same mind but not the same body simultaneously

The show creators are showing what they feel is a "Real relationship". Sometimes things are great. And then the next day, everything is awful forever...Except that one beautiful day when everything is great again..and maybe it lasts for 3 days.....until everything is shit again. I personally have never had a relationship like this, but I've seen it...so often. I manage a guy who has literally broke up with his WIFE 4 times in the last 3 weeks, slept in their car twice, and been kicked out twice....She's 3 months pregnant....seems like a fair example of their relationship, if not one I've ever personally experienced.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
