The FINALE of S4! What'd y'all think of it? There will be a long-ish break between S4 and S5. In the meantime, I got Vindicators 2 recorded as a Patreon Exclusive if you're interested. You'll also gain access to every uncut reaction I have if there's an episode you particularly loved :) patreon.com/soeverdream
I friggin love the joke where Jerry only says "Hey" in response to conflict during this episode. Both Tammy and then her henchbugs stop attacking Jerry when he explains how little of a threat he is, and then later in the car when Jerry is asked to "do something" he just exclaims "heeey" in a tone that gets me every time.
I love that this one had you guessing the whole time. Who had Jerry saves the day with puppeteering on their Bingo card? Can't wait for season 5. Also, thank you Ever for being one of the bigger inspirations to finally start putting in work on my own content.
It was a very fun episode to watch, one of my favorites for so many reasons :D That's awesome to hear! It's hard work, but the payoff is nice when people comment and things. Thank you :D
Dark as it is if you take it seriously, the shot of Summer disaffectedly repeatedly smashing the dead Tammy's face into the facial recognition scanner with a bored "what am I doing wrong" is so gd funny
I've always disagreed with Rick and the rest of the family in their assessment that this is an example of Rick being a terrible father. I think he wanted her to experience the adventure and excitement of being space Beth, but also didn't want her to leave, which is perhaps rather greedy, but also shows that he loves her. In the end, he essentially gave her both experiences - had the implant/bomb not been removed from Space Beth, one of them would have exploded, but there'd have been one Beth left that had memories from both. Next up is season 5, which has some really good episodes, but also some pretty bad ones. It's definitely the weakest season of the show. Fortunately season 6 gets things back on track.
This was by far the best season finale so far. The level of backstory and character interaction was amazing. Wait till you see season 6 tho … gets crazy with a return to rick’s roots
You finally get your answer to a question you asked a while ago 😊 For the record (spoiler) The secret storyline is partially revealed in the finale of season 6
As I recall, the original plan was to clone Beth so that original Beth could go on space adventures, while the clone looked after the family. When Space Beth returned, they would have their memories combined and the clone would be destroyed. What possible reason would Rick have to hide even from himself which one is the clone (and then put bombs in both their necks)? As Rick has had several bodies himself by this time and it made no difference to him, it probably should not matter which Beth got destroyed, as long as the remaining one had the memories of both. But according to this episode, Space Beth wants to keep on adventuring. Both Beths are the same person. So how exactly did Space Beth get over her daddy issues? Even to the point of being fine with killing him? Rick is supposed to be the _I don't give a f*ck_ character, and even he can't bring himself to kill one Beth even though he really has no personal attachments to either. And speaking of Space Beth, why is she operating under the name Beth Smith? Given how she feels about Jerry, one would think she'd have gone back to using her maiden name. Especially when Rick has already made the Sanchez name universally infamous. For me, season 4 is where the show jumped the shark. I still follow it for curiosity's sake, but I quit buying the blu ray discs beyond season 3 because I have no desire to rewatch any episodes after that. I don't know if the death of that staffer that they keep eulogizing at the end of so many eps is the cause of the drop in quality, or what, but I definitely sense that it isn't quite the same show anymore.
