They are definitely based off of Doc and Marty from Back to the Future. The difference is that they don't really mess with time more so than they mess with different universes.

Rick & Morty is definitely a welcome edition to the channel; since we're on a Pilot episode spree, should try the show 'Archer' it won an Emmy with good reason and the voice actor of Jerry voices a character in that show as well.

I always see it as a much more new serie than it actually is. Don't let the style throw you off, it's mostly very accurate and critical towards some aspects of life.

i can't remember the exact story about it, but the amount of burps in the beginning of the season is because to play the drunk grandpa Justin Roiland did drink a few beers during the recording sessions and the 1st burp made them laugh so much they thought it would be funny adding to the character, lol

Random clips are for people who don't or haven't watched things from beginning to end. I personally like content in chronological order. I would recommend you make a poll in the future to ask people if they like all random or in order content. Could be of some use.

Aside from #7, the whole first season should be watched. Past that, in absentia of other context, you should most watch season 2 #4-7, season 3 #3-4, season 4 #3-4 and #9, and season 6 #4-5. There's plenty more I could recommend, but continuity comes up with each.

The timing… they just fired the guy who made/voices both Rick and morty. Apparently he (allegedly) was beaten up on his chick and stopping her from leaving, and he was arrested and charged. If true, F him, but the show just cut ties with him and are going to try and replace him (it won’t work out) it’s as good as dead. But first few seasons are really good.
