Rick and Morty Season 2 Episode 1 & 2 Reaction 

One of my fav episodes. "You know what they do to other prisoners in time prison. Same thing they do in normal prison. Only forever." 😂

They definitely monitor hunting. You don’t exactly “report it” but if you kill a deer and don’t have a tag for it, Fish and Game is gonna have a problem.

I know some people might point this out but i will say it here, rick was 100% certain when he gave morty that collar. It shows even if its a small amount he truly cares about morty, enough to be willing to give his life for him. And that is saying alot because he has a small amount of people he is willing to that for.

Rick sacrificing his life and time collar to save Morty and ultimately saving himself, whilst saying there is no God is probably one of the most epic moments in this show

Morty didn't mask his thoughts.. Morty believes sacrifice to help the greater good, and right when he found out about the genocide he was thinking about sacrificing one to help many, in this case murdering Fart.

Fun fact, Fart is voiced by the same voice actor as the big crab from Moana

A Rickle in Time is pretty much my favorite episode. Especially how Keegan Michael Key delivered that Time Prison line. “You know what they do to third dimensional life forms in time prison? Same thing they do in every other prison. Only forever.” 😅

Depending on what state you’re in, and what animal you’re hunting, the reporting is different. For deer hunting in Iowa you purchase a ‘tag’ and then once you ‘harvest’ a deer you have to fill it out and report it.

The fact that rick almost sabotaged his time out of spite is so on point. His whole thing is "I don't do time travel." Either means it's hard for him to do (yeah right.🙄) or he just doesn't want to deal with timelines and that sort of thing. And when mr time cop shows up and calls him out for not being able to fix it he goes all "I'm the smartest man in the world" ego on him

Saying things confidently... yeah, i did that in the Army. We have this unholy thing called Motorpool Monday, and after you finish PMCS (basic checks) you will just be assigned random duties. Best way out? I call it the Clipboard Theory. Walk around with a clipboard, look angry, and randomly tell people to follow you. You can get away with doing nothing all afternoon if it looks like you have a purpose. People actively avoid a man on a mission.

You notice there's a crack in the cement around the house where it got transported to another dimension and back. In a blinding display of continuity, that crack will be there in the show from now on.

I love the subtle overarching plot of Rick actually caring for Morty. Its been going on like last season, now with Rick sacrificing himself. So good

About the deer hunting convo, what happens is that you buy a certain number of "tags" for the deer you hunt, one tag per deer. If someone from game enforcement comes knocking & asking to see your tags, you can get a heavy fine if you have more deer than tags.

Actually Boom, a lot of states have people from fish and wildlife take care of marking how many someone has killed. However this is more to keep track of how many buck to doe there are. It helps to set the seasonal limit and each deer gets marked with a yellow tag. Also my guess on why they are particular about inexperience people not just taking a deer if they hit it, is definitely because of disease. There is one in particular they can carry called 'wasting disease' can be really nasty and so the body needs to be disposed of with extreme heat to kill the prions that cause the disease. If they don't the body leeches them into the ground and any animal unfortunate enough to eat the body. Things like this are why you need to make sure you know what you're doing when hunting, otherwise you risk catching some crazy shit.

Love how just being near Morty and Summer made Rick progressively more and more uncertain.

The time cop in the first episode is actually based off a Langolier from the Stephen King mini series of the same name

After you get a hunting license and permit, you then get certain amount of tags for specific animals. Tag limits differ between states, but if you go over your tag limit, that is poaching. You can purchase additional tags, but there’s still a maximum limit per person.

Idk how far the guys are with the show but from what I remember from the show, they will make it very clear if we are not watching the same Rick and Morty

My favourite kind of Rick & Morty episode is always the ones where Rick does something sweet for Morty, and episodes where Morty does something unexpectantly ballsy.

Fun Fact This episode features the only case of Time Travel in the entire series to date. Dan Harmon & Justin Roiland have stated they want to stay away from Time Travel but we see the 4th dimension creature use it. This is the only time we see actual Time Travel in the series so far.

Ok so for deer you buy your tags at the beginning of the season (each person gets a certain amount depending on the state) and you can fill that amount of tags that year during the season and you have to report your kills and tag the deer for DNR (department of natural resources)

Back to the deer debate, in Deep South it is actually encouraged by law enforcement that you take a deer that you hit with your car. Usually because they see it as a waste of meat if they have to call the city or county officials to come take it off the side of a road. I’ve also had instances where you can ask the government official to take it to a processing place where they can take the good meet after to a food care center. Point is if it’s already dead, you may as well get something out of it.

There are many states where you are allowed to take roadkill. You just aren't allowed to intentionally hit the animal with your vehicle, aka "hunting with your vehicle."

For the hunting questions, you have a certain number of an animal per year that you are allowed to hunt (per hunter) and during certain times of year. It varies state by state but it's very important when it comes to limiting the damage to populations of animals by preventing overhunting and can also be good for the environment because sometimes you need to lower the population of certain animals to balance things out. The car thing is iffy and also state by state. In some places when you hit an animal like a deer, after reporting it and authorities being involved you can just straight up take it home and eat it if you want. In other places thats a big no no. Regardless of regulations I would report it so I have a police incident report for the insurance (or if you're in Florida the state will straight up pay for it)

You can indeed take a deer hit by a car. Nearly anything, in fact. You just have to call up officials and get a salvage tag. The person who hit the animal has the first claim. Any bystanders get first come, first serve if they don't want it. This is pretty much universal. Obviously, it has to be immediately taken away with you if you saw it so it doesn't go bad. You have to call basically right after as well. They will look up a police report on it to make sure its legit and you're good to go. No hunting license even needed for it. Anybody can call and get a salvage tag for roadkill. Obviously, this only happens if it is fresh to the point you literally saw it happen, but yeah. You might be able to do it for fur if it's too old for meat, too, but I'm not fully sure on it in that light. I only know about using it for meat.

So when you hunt they give you a tag before you go out for the deer and you come back and show the game warden they also do have people driving around checking it some places have more people looking for illegal hunter some places less but you dont wantto get caught thats a big big fin and jail time if your a repeat ofender.

Where I’m from if you hit a deer you get asked by the cops if you want it; otherwise they’ll call their friend who definitely wants it.

6:50 Idk where you guys are located or from, but where I am(in Michigan) if you accidentally hit a deer and kill it you have to call the local nonemergency line, have someone from either state/local PD or possibly DNR come out and write you a free salvage permit to take it with you. If you dont want it, another person that wants it can take it but if no one wants it the local police or DOT will come and remove it. I haven’t seen anything that says you’ll be penalized for not having a permit but I suspect it may get you hit with poaching

I'm guessing you guys don't understand the tag system for hunting lol. Tags are like the hall passes of hunting. You want to bag a deer? Gotta have that deer tag. They're crucial because they keep the animal populations in check, while also making sure no one's going all Rambo on the wildlife. You can't just waltz into the woods and start blasting away; you have to apply for these tags, and there are all kinds of rules about when and where you can use them. Each tag specifies a particular area and a season, making sure you're not hunting during mating times or in protected zones. It's all part of the plan to keep hunting sustainable and not turn the place into a free-for-all. It's all about responsible hunting and not turning the forest into a war zone. Safer for hunters, safer for the animals. And for those thinking about the humane treatment of the animals, most hunters I know value an ethical and humane hill not only because it's quick and painless, but also because no one likes blood tracking a deer for yards and yards and having to drag it out of the bush. Hunters get a bad rap, but when managed correctly, and people follow the laws, it's actually beneficial to the lives of the animals. Except the ones who are dead. But there's no since crying over..... In short, tags are your hunting permission slips, keeping the game safe and the playing field fair. And the wildlife agencies only allocate so many tags per season because the hunters keep the population at a healthy number. Too many of any species puts a strain on the ecosystem. And though there aren't "deer monitors" walking around, Wildlife and Fisheries agents, or "Game Wardens" indeed do walk around, will wait by guys trucks for them to come back with their kills, and then ask for tags for the animals they have. Guys will stash birds, hogs, or even deer in the bushes and return for them later, but the Game Wardens know all the tricks. Most Game Wardens I know were either bad "outlaw" hunters as kids, or were raised by those guys. They know ALL the tricks. Also, they catch plenty of people bragging on facebook. They'll post a picture with all their dead birds, and all it takes is for a Game Warden to count and see that he has more birds than are allowed by the maximum allowed tags. People are dumb lol. Those guys lose their hunting license, and can be jailed if they're caught hunting illegally. Wildlife and Fisheries looks out for the animals when the outlaws think they know better. And hunters who follow the laws LOVE ratting out hunters who don't. They'll call their game warden buddy and report their own pastor because it makes them feel superior lol, so no one is safe.
