It was probably just a reference to the cats of Ulthar , since they were referencing old DND they did some Lovecraft reference in the side story as well
@@Toothpick91 It's a parody of the 2013 "A Talking Cat!?!" independent film, which is notoriously low budget and wonky as hell (and yes, pretty much garbage). It's kinda like the suburban version of Tommy Wiseau's "The Room". Having an episode's B-plot be a reference to a 2.1/10 on IMDB movie is bit of a deep cut, but film dorks and anyone that watched the Normal Boots (JonTron) episode on it will probably make the connection almost immediately. Also, it's exactly the right kind of vibe for Jerry because everyone in the original film is basically a classic suburban Jerry-type person.
I am a rare defender of episode 4. Is it one of the dumbest and most immature episodes of the show? Yeah, I’ll admit that. But I also find it really funny.
The consistency of the crack in the driveway and the sidewalk, and the land even being settled a little from when the house teleported away and back is so good.
@@becauseimbatman1391 They are probably just here for the guys. You can watch a reaction to something you don't like and enjoy it. I have watched reactions to things I would never watch myself and enjoyed them.
Got curious about what the car was & kinda amusing that this is all it is, but mostly disappointing. According to Decider, Harmon said of the episode: The cat subplot was an attempt to just have fun. The cat represents that voice in your head in the writers room that you're overthinking it. The whole episode, the talking cat tells Jerry over and over not to overthink it and just go with the flow.
Rick: And that's the end of the Morty gets a dragon episode Summer: Are you gonna slay it? Rick: First off I always slay it queen Things I never thought I'd hear Rick say
It’s weird to think that there was a time where Elon was well liked. I feel like even when this episode came out his reputation was already falling. Not to where it is now, of course, but definitely lower than where it was in the mid 10s
@thebrokenpuppet2714 As soon as Elon switched from supporting one political party to the other. I don't think the hate has any real basis is reality. Also yall remember Elons role in the creation of the Iron Man movies?
@@dantevairosNah there’s plenty of basis in reality for hate towards him. And it’s always been there, it’s not new, it’s just people didn’t realize how crappy he’s always been until super recently. He hasn’t changed he just let the mask slip
@@thebrokenpuppet2714 I haven't seen a single legitimate reason anyone hates him, outside of his endorsement for Trump. The only thing I've seen come close is the child labor mines, which as soon as he was made aware of it he shut them down.
@@thebrokenpuppet2714 it's weird to think there are still people that hate him literally just for defending free speech. He's more well liked here in Brazil, for standing up to our dictatorial judge
The Episode 3 credits scene might be one of my all time favorites. There's no gag, no foreshadowing, no nothing. It's just an honest conversation while drinking beers on the roof, and watching a storm approach from far out in the distance.
One of the few times i ever laugh at Elon and his appearance in The Simpsons, but that was more of a chuckle then SNL where i was like Meh! Now i am just sad and cringe at him now!
You know for a fact that the original idea was just going to be an actual heist episode, but they got frustrated trying to write one so they made this episode instead.
damn rick is gonna forever gonna get away with everything with yall just bc he’s funny lol. jerry gets ALLL of the hate but rick is kinda a sociopath but it’s fine cuz he’s funny ig lol
@@sortastupid nooooo😭not CORRECT my man is a whole abusive psycho bro lol. i love rick as a character but he’s gotta earn SOME asshole points with yall mfs💀
He is an asshole, but it’s so obvious it doesn’t really need to be dwelled on. He’s beyond changing outside of him doing it himself. Jerry can still be saved, mostly because he’s just a normal dude.
Episide 4 is ine of my favorites not only because of the slut dragon crap but also this gave us ample excuse to truly hate on Morty for his choices. Because yeah, worse adventure ever.
I blame Rick for choosing the worst dragons. He definitely could have done some research and just gotten Morty a normal dragon. Hell he could have just offered Morty a mechanical dragon that would just do whatever.
@@sortastupid Most of that loss is from advertisers pulling out over articles ran showing their potential advertisements next to alt or far right posts to get them to leave. It was proven they made an account and followed all of those accounts to create that situation. While the investment is not doing well currently, they have pulled in over 900 m alone this year, almost double of last year.(everyone is biased lmao)
Not the same he's always been. I mean, he's always been a charlatan and a grifter. Thing is he used to pretend he was mildly liberal, witht that of electric cars and stuff. Now the mask is full off and he's the same grifter only with a social network he uses to spread far right bullshit.
Switching to a binge format, will continue to release weekly to our patreon supporters. When s1 would have normally ended here on RU-vid the full S1 binge will be uploaded
Initially, I really disliked the heist episode, but the fact that all of it was Rick's plan to sabotage Morty's motivation makes it one of my favorites. It's intentionally bad
