I know this is some sweet Love Song...but I'm in my 66th yr here...Rick Astley has been my absolute favorite singer since I first heard him....I have chosen this song to be played at my Memorial when it's time...hear the words...so inspiring and hopeful ....
Watched this video a few days ago and it was my first time hearing this song. It's been on my mind since then and I went looking for it on Spotify only to see it was not on any of his albums! So sad to know it was never released! Such a good song!
I'm so Thankful to be born at a time when "Music" was real & the Men were hot and the women were beautiful with pure "talent". It is those as "Rick" shows you are still the "Best" & Sexiest around. Not like the little pop stars of today who are or have no idea what real music is...take a look here at the Men & Women of the 80's they'll show you so called artist of today how it's done.
Great to see you back, Rick! I have your first two '80s CDs. Loved Never gonna give you up and Together forever. Also loved the way you danced. So cute. I would like to get your new CD now. You still have a great voice, and judging from the interviews you seems a well-centered guy. Good for you! Wish you much success in your present and future endeavors. You've still got it, baby! :)
it's funny how people say the music today sucks.. (mostly i agree).. i'm 48.. but when the people in their 30's are saying the music in the 80's had true voices.... our parents said the same thing about that music. and their music before them.. and so it goes... goes round again...
Great to see you back, Rick! I have both of your '80s CDs and I am going to get your new one. Still a great voice from the interviews a centered guy. Good for you! Wish you much success in your present and future endeavors. You've still got it, baby! :)
Imagine if she was singing now she up there with the best didnt get the recognition she deserved used to play her record every weekend with my girlfriend still now my wife ya sheer class dina xx
Bravo Rick, elle est très jolie cette chanson. C'est plein de fraîcheur, ça donne envie d'écouter et réécouter. Une voix qui n'a rien perdu, toujours aussi agréable et puissante.
@gamblerjag Then again, Autotune didn't come until early 80s, and wasn't really used much until the 90's, and was became the standard after that. So, people had truer voices back in the 80's, and considering how many electronic tweakers there were back then, there is still grounds for saying the sound before that sounded more "natural" than before. the evolution (of voice mixing) has been something like this: all authentic -> tweakers -> tweakers and/or purifiers -> tweaked purifiers
Funny that Rick is 44, but he looks like he's 30. How in the name of fuck is he so preserved? Maybe there is a God, and he admits Rick is one of the more epic single entities in the Universe.
This song needs an equal to "operation lights out" tbh. It's better than Lights Out, and making it popular on youtube might get it released sooner! Then we might a version where he doesn't use the first line to warm up his voice (you can really hear that he hadn't gotten completely into the song yet, but the rest is awesome to the power of over 9000)
@themightychickens He's not lipsyncing . Probably he's just using his own backing tracks for the chorus. It seems that he sang most of it by himself. And obviously, he can't sing two different voices at the same time.
