_"I'll give you something else to look at."_ I remember that (😁)! I'm digging the new artwork additions , plus the editing, Bernard's music...EVERYTHING (👍).

This is amazing. It also made me so happy to hear "wife and partner". This was a nice rendition

Yeah its interesting that even at this early stage they went that route. Because in the novel Grant and Ellie aren't together at all. Not even romantically interested!

If there's a Jurassic Park remake, I hope there would be a Rick Carter script, because it's closer to the themes of the original book and adds more character depth.

this is a really cool project. Love the use of art and everything. I'll give the vids a listen and a like. but as a huge fan of audio dramas, I do feel that I have some criticisms regarding the quality of the voice acting and recordings. I assume that it was a lot of volunteer work and everyone used their own gear? just get pulled out of it when theres a drastic change in recording volumes and qualities. the voice acting seemed to be a bit all over the board I would say, some I felt was really good, some that could use more practice, though I would also assume that its much more difficult when recording lines without having other people to act with. that being said, the overall sound design was really decent, and I feel the issues I had with some of the voice acting really didnt apply to the naration as its not directly interacting with other characters so it being detached works really well. infact I dont think Ive seen an audio drama adapted from a screenplay before. felt like the exact halfway point between a narated audio book, and an audio drama which was really cool. overall I did like it a lot so far. but im always critical of thinks I really like, and this doubly so gets it for being a JP Audio Drama lol. seriously tho congrats to everyone who worked on this.

It's okay to be critical! This project began during the start of the pandemic, which was when all of the audio from the various people was recorded. None of us were professional voice actors (although some of us, like myself, had some acting experience), mostly just fans of Jurassic Park. That's why the introduction video says "the voice talents of enthusiastic fans", not professionals. ;) We all recorded ourselves from our homes separately using whatever we had; not in a recording studio and not with each other. Perhaps we could have attempted a joint recording session remotely, but it would have taken a bit longer and would have been more complex and maybe less likely to work with people's schedules (even in a shutdown). Bernard definitely did what he could with the materials he had (I know he definitely boosted and adjusted the audio to regulate it all as best as he could). But honestly, unless everyone had the same quality equipment, and maybe even the same recording environment, there would have been these issues no matter what. I'm glad you still enjoyed it! We really just wanted to bring this truly lost script to life in the way that filmmakers themselves would often do in a rough form (and even still kind of do with computer animatics). Even the visuals aren't perfect or consistent by design. It's a collection of what was there, what we could make, and just to show as much as possible in the most entertaining way we could. :D

Magnificent work and deserves all of the praise! I had a question about an early draft of the film. Which scripts were it that maintained the idea of dinosaurs escaping onto the mainland? I recall one or two had the compies on the shore, but another switched them out for a baby raptor but I can't remember the specific one.
@bardmediamusic
@bardmediamusic Год назад
I think the first one--Crichtons--retains the compys. As for the baby raptors I don't recall! All the scripts are on Jurassic Time's website!

Is the the music all original orchestrations or are there cues from other IPs? Between 1:19 & 1:57, it sounded to me very similar to a cue from one of the Batman: Arkham series of games...... Let me see, Arkham City.....??? A cue, perhaps for a scene featuring The Joker? Very, very great soundtrack, thanks for that 👍 😀 👌 👏 🙌 😊

@@bardmediamusic Oh yeah, thanks, I'd actually forgotten that the channel states that all the music is original. It's only about 30 seconds or so of a musical cue, sounding very similar, at least to me that is......

@bardmediamusic Год назад
@@alexbittonagy4808 that’s kinda fascinating! I’ll take a listen heh But yea, as far as musical influences this was meant to FEEL like an older score, one from the early 90’s so it has some Zimmer, Goldsmith, Horner, and of course Williams influences
