I remember when he shaved the murder beard off. It felt refreshing and it was weird seeing him look like his Season 1 self but acting like how he had changed
@@dragonfish5729 doesn't matter to me season 2 Rick will always be my favorite because we still had officer friendly and he had a tiny bit of menace in him
0:58 feels so refreshing to see rick like he was back in season 1, and when he starts making Alexandria his home, season 6 felt so optimistic and I really thought Rick was getting back on his feet and makings a life for himself, but then negan came and destroyed everything
The writing of TWD was great but the pacing really became an issue after season 6, I feel like S7 and S8 should have been combined into one big season which consists of like 20+ episodes, then they should give a season for the Whisperers, then one season for the reapers and the commonwealth. So boom shows over in 9 seasons. I feel like TWD was stretched a lil too much, like it should have ended 1 or 2 years earlier. And I really feel like these spinoffs are good, they should have added all these spinoffs into 2 seasons and we get a proper ending to TWD. And if they just decide to end the show, then the spinoffs should be at least 8-10 episodes a season, I feel like 6 is too short then u have to wait half a year just to watch 6 episodes, but that's just my opinion.
I don’t know why but I went through a TWD rick grimes fan boy era, from November 2022 to January 2023, I literally started crying at the transition through season 5 and season 6, from the wild to shaved beard and clean rick grimes, after all he had been through… I really felt bad for him
I loved ricks evolution. He hated Shane for that but he became a worse demon than shane. If shane wouldve left the group instead tryin to kill rick they wouldve been good friends later and dominated the twd universe.
he still took people's perspective of morality and world around them into consideration. for example Hershel in S4 explained to Rick the idea of not having to constantly fight, but start building and making their prison home where lifestock and vegetables could prosper rather then keeping it as fortress where you just survive. Rick didn't took his vision into much consideration until he did due to Carl. Glenn in S5 didn't want Rick to let prisoners behind as horde of walkers was approaching, because in Glenn's words "That is still who we are". And Rick listened. This will get long. After Terminous, Rick and the whole group were giving up any humanity that was left of them due to fucked up stuff they gone through. Bob told Rick that once they find a safe place with normal people, Rick won't get used to living there any time soon if he lets himself be consumed by the things he did and gone through, he defined that place and people as "the real world" but Rick answered him "This is the real world" in the moment they were in and dismissed him, Bob then told Rick not to merge Real world with nightmare that they were going through. Rick for a while was going through similiar situation like Shane (not same because Shane acted like a monster because it was easier to do, Rick because of self preservation) but unlike Shane he got through it because Bob was right about him finding Alexandria and Rick realized during the stay that he's been consumed by the world out there, so consumed that he almost executed a plan to take control of armory and exiling the residents in Alexandria, should Rick's group be thrown outside into the wild again. Rick could have done that, it was easier to do. But he realized he behaved like the people outside who he hated and feared. He instead gave Alexandria a try and decided helping the residents to adapt to the world outside. Because thats who he is. In conclusion, Rick is a flawed person. no doubt about that, nobody is perfect. But he kept himself in check in case he was slipping, unlike Shane who willingly let himself be consumed by the apocalypse.
Haven't watched the show since season 8. This video convinced me to rewatch the show. You did an amazing job portraying Rick's development and perserverance. Honestly, I thought killing off Carl was a stupid decision before, but this video kinda makes me feel like it was necessary to really showcase Rick's ability to endure and move forward no matter the circumstances.
Yeah, seasons 7-8 were a dip but season 9 was brilliant, a full return to form and more than that even, season 10 was great and season 11 while being held back by a certain plot line has really picked up in parts 2 and 3
@@hayojosa4063 that's just your subjective experience, season 10 was great and season 11 has been good and if the ending is good it will get boosted in quality even further, Angela Kang revived the quality this show used to have after the dissapointing seasons 7-8
Rick season 5 is a scary version of rick grimes in the walking dead universe, Rick season 5 is the craziest rick of all seasons, rick who is still experiencing great trauma because he just lost the people he loves in the group, he bites humans like zombies, doesn't easily accept new people, no mercy. If negan and the savior meet rick in season 5, their fate will be the same as the governor's.
Bro it wouldn’t of mattered if s5 Rick was there why don’t people understand this lol. Rick and his crew were HEAVILY outnumbered in a way they’ve never been before. They were fucked and there was nothing they could have done; if anything; s5 Rick would of gotten everyone killed. And it’s not like Rick changed much at all after Alexandria. He was still pyscho, he was still angry and spiteful; he was the one that made Alexandria citizens realize they need to step tf up into the world of violence. Negan simply showed Rick that their new world was much bigger and stronger than they realized, nothing would of change no matter what version of Rick you’d thrown in at that moment lol besides maybe everyone dying because Rick decided to try to bite negans throat out or some shit This is TWD, not the damn Avengers lol ain’t nothing you can do when you’re surrounded by like 50+ dudes with guns being led by an ego maniac that bashes peoples heads in for a living
Been watching this show since season 3 and kept following it all the way till the end. Its weird to see the older seasons when those were the current.. It was such a different life and time. Never been so invested in a show like this and it still feels weird that it is gone.. But it already felt gone since season 9 because without Rick this show just didnt feel the same anymore
Twd first six season was absolutely perfection, i paused watching it cause glenn’s death hurt me so bad it was latterly a mistake killing him off but now after i watched your edit maybe i’ll rewatch and continue till last season this series is MASTERPIECE
@@8johh people always see the Rick vs Negan fight scenes and they forget about all the bad that happened throughout the season and think it was a great season.
@@Asferprivate s8 had it flaws but it was overall a good season imo. The Show went to shit after. I mean s9e5 was phenomenal but the writing in the Whisperer arc was so horribly bad
ngl but this makes me tear up knowing twd has already ended literally 12 years the show was publishes the same when i was born my childhood series ever since i watched this i never forget about it like ik every part
this makes me wanna rewatch the earlier seasons again. fact is, i have to watch it with my sister because shes never seen it before, and were on season ten. im mad tho because she watched all of season 8 9 and most of 10 without me while i was in school
We noticed how Rick looked in the last season and how he looks in the new spin-off. It is very clear how Rick, being the leader of the community in the last season, became like some kind of grandfather who lost his grip on leadership in communities. Now in the new spin-off, he again looks like a predator who is ready to tear for his family
