As a doctor, we are held at a higher accountability and a responsibility to first do no harm. So on that point, the doctor writing the prescriptions should be charged for a crime plus lose their license to practice medicine. Every year i have to take 4 hours of ethics to maintain my medical license for idiots like this. Yes Kelly, the addict is the catalyst but the prescribing doctor knew better. The love of money is the MDs undoing.
Kelly's delivery is beyond harsh and abusive the last couple of months. I do not believe in their political views , but enjoyed watching their channel. Rick is a long time professional in the industry and you would think he would ask her to lighten up. It's nice to watch a couple in love in a dysfunctional world. I wish they would go back to being light hearted and fun...

Matthew Perry’s longtime trusted assistant, his physicians and drug dealers should be held accountable. They took advantage of an addict for their own financial gains, which led to his death. They all deserve jail time.

From what I understand ketamine is used in early treatment to help addicts become clean. Matthew chose to seek the help of M.D. Doctors. These trusted, licensed, professionals totally failed him by increasing his dosages and illegally feeding his addiction. He was working to get sober/clean. His 30 year employee.... assistant also turned on him and injected him with more ketamine working with the others to delete his wealthy bank account. And then there is the known drug queen whom I cannot understand why - is still supplying/pumping this deadly crap into anyone with money or demand. The injustices in this case are unspeakable and took a man's life. I'm thankful for the thorough investigation and hope these criminals serve due justice. I don't think Kelly understands the whole story - Matt was completely innocent (this time).
No one chooses to be a drug addict. You may take something as a one off just to try and then not be able to stop . The addiction takes over. It may start with circumstance. Maybe you self medicate due to trauma. Mathew Perry tried countless times to stop and paid thousands of pounds for rehab. Perrys assistant - A dream job for most was paid to look after him. Doctors - People who should have their patients best interest at heart. Drug Dealers - who once you are connected with will not let go. Have all been charged. All would have prospered once he took a hit. They would have made sure he had a constant supply at an over inflate price and maybe even left a freebe if he wanted nothing. Just incase he could beat his addiction. These people are leaches. Without people like this he may have still been alive. They gave him no chance. How can people not have empathy.

My 20 yr old son died from a heroin overdose in 1999. He overdosed on the same heroin/ectasy combo that Dallas Cowboys football player Mark Tuinei died from. The four drug dealers were convicted and one is serving a life sentence. I agree with both of you! My son was wrong for buying and using drugs but the dealers were very much at fault for selling.😢

The whole Matthew Perry situation hits home to me ,i have lost a niece to drug overdose ,and another niece right now is in active addiction ,yet on the other side of the coin ,I suffer daily with chronic back pain ,and have not given in to having to take narcotics to control the pain,because what i have seen scares me so much,hving said that ,i make the choice everyday to not give in to hard drugs for legitimate pain,its a sad situation anyway you look at it,i watch my older sisters struggle everyday,one who has lost a child and one who doesnt know if her child will make it another day

Yes the drug user has responsibility, however in this case, there seems to be evidence that the assistant actually administered the drug. The doctors seemingly were scamming an actor. I think there’s plenty of room for all this lowlife characters to be held responsible and hopefully get real prison time. Yes addicts are their own worst enemies but doctors are suppose to do no harm. Lock them all up.

I do realize it’s election time and being informed on the issues is important and we do need to have these conversations but I really feel like this is not the place. Most of us come here to have fun. We enjoy listening to your stories of what your families are doing, where you went for dinner, house hunting, refrigerator updates, etc. When it turns political I just want to shut it off, not because I disagree with your opinions but because we hear about it all day every day in the media. I come here for enjoyment not political banter. I feel most of us are here for the same reason because we have a connection with you guys and enjoy listening to your stories. I have the same point of view as both of you however once you become an addict you no longer have good decision skills until you are sober a long time. His doctor a professional should have been looking out for him not feeding him a potential lethal drug in my opinion. Mathew may have thought it was safer coming from his doctor and not the street. in a way making a better decision then street shopping. Its sad addictions are real and the drug becomes the master.
I agree! I told Kelly that she needs to be really aware of her surroundings! When I was 18 I lived in Paris for a short time and escaped being kidnapped for trafficking, that’s another story! My Dad told me to not trust even an old woman wanting help crossing the street. Jolie is a very pretty and smart young woman and am sure she will be fine! But Paris is a city to be very aware of, more so than many other cities.

Here is my opinion on the Mathew Perry situation. The fact is for years as reported he had a substance abuse problem and clearly continued to have one. The point I want to make here is why aren't our tax dollars and law enforcement resources taking the time this case did with all the people who are overdosing every day on fentanyl. To say that it is being done wouldn't be a correct statement to make a further more I think this was put in the news for clearly his celebrity status. If this much attention was taken on your average drug dealer in America that causes an overdose then we would be five steps closer to solving a lot of the problems today. My opinion, my thoughts.

This was an epic failure of a discussion. You both should apologize to his family and friends that are still grieving and by the way he was not injecting himself during his last days so that is another reason I would definitely call it murder. Mr. Perry was in the struggle of his life fighting with the evil of addiction. All the while taken advantage of by Medical Doctors who are sworn to preserve life! Instead these GREEDY docs used this poor guy to enrich themselves through an A list celebrity, who by Hollywood standards died a poor man due to his excess spending on chasing the next high. This was a TRAVESTY, as every life is precious despite whose life it is. His step father, whom I met years ago at Crystal cove and Mathews lovely wife lost their son and will forever have a deep void and grief in losing their son.

The science of addiction tells us that the brain changes, and it is very difficult to stop. There is stigma associated with drug and alcohol addiction. i admit i still have bias bc i grew up with the philosophy of dont do drugs. But im trying to be more understanding and educate myself, I now know it's not that simple. Love your show R and K.

My mom was an addict and i sounded just like you when i was younger. i couldn't understand why she wouldn't stop and i must not be important enough for her to quit. I've learned mental illness and big pharma is actually to blame for all of it. I am grateful to have 10 years of sobriety today, but my addiction to alcohol almost killed me (quite literally). You have to educate yourself on the topic, please. And, of course, be grateful that you haven’t had the experience for yourself or a loved one who is struggling with addiction. It affects even the most educated, intelligent and bright people among us.

I love Rick and Kelly.❤ Addiction is hesrtbreaking. Overcoming it, could be insurmountable. I am not an "addict",I have had family and friends who were .The biggest "drug of choice" and most lethal-Alcohol. I have witnessed recovery and it's a beautiful thing but it's not an easy road. An addict once in recovery, never blames the dealer or the liquor store for providing the "drug".
I do not understand why Jeff Lewis does not have a RU-vid channel with his radio shows because example me I am in Europe and the only way I can watch his shows is if someone uploads them on RU-vid.and I think they not allowed to do that though really because someone will upload a bunch of his shows and 2 days later they are gone and the channel is also is gone .I can listen to the shows on certain websites but I want to watch them .this makes no sense to me
You two are lovely, the real deal🩷. Reminds me of my second chance for love with my husband now of 20 years. We had one date in 1984, he never called back and we ran into each again in 2003😁. Hi Kelly, I highly recommend that you and Rick read or listen to Mathew Perry’s book. I’d be interested in knowing if it would change your perspective. It would seem that he grew up in a normal happy healthy home. Doesn’t seem like there was a reason for him to turn to drugs and alcohol. Nevertheless he was a self admitted alcoholic by the time he was 14. I don’t think he was a moron. Not everyone that drinks becomes an alcoholic and not everyone that does drugs becomes a junkie. I think we have to start treating addiction as a disease and not blame the person who took that first drink or first toke etc. although some don’t want to help themselves or accept help in Mathew’s case I think he tried his best many times but the addiction was bigger than him. I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did. I do blame the people around him especially the doctors who enabled the addiction. I think they should be charged with murder. They knew exactly what eventually would happen. I’m not sure what is the right charge and punishment for the assistant. I do think there should be punishment but not like the vultures like The Queen of Ketamine and the doctors….
Children usually become addicted to whatever the parents have in their homes. Was alcohol in Matthew's home growing up ? Friends homes ? Where did he get it ?

I live in Long Beach and I've seen drug deals as well while driving and actually in not that bad parts of LB. Nowaday is very easy to OD if an addict is so far of any reasoning. Incredible!
