their reaction was priceless. before he revealed the character, everyone was saying “leo!” in the crowd. then he shows octavian and they all screamt “BRUH!” in unison. that was probably the funniest part lmao
Tbf the movies went out of their way to be bad. It's rare to see a adaptation this bad which triggers a reaction from author this hostile (though justified)
That insanely feminine scream that went up when uncle Rick said ‘Leo’ just proves to me that all the ladies _do_ love Leo Edit: this is the most dam likes i've ever gotten. MOMMY I'M FAMOUS!
"how does it feel making small children cry with your cliffhangers?" "it warms my heart thank you" this guy is the only redeeming part about being from texas- he was born and raised here
It was the same as the first 2 Harry Potter movies…which made no sense to me because the first 2 HP were really good in terms of adaptations, and these were just awful.
i didn't expect rick to be so fun and festive kind of guy, mocking his own books like that. i live him even more now, i think he could be a really good drinking budy
As a Swede... I send my deepest apologies for what my country has done... That looked terrible... I've never seen a book with that cover so they must have changed it. The probably heard the laughter for the German cover and thought it was for them. Once again... I'm so sorry for that... 🤣🤣🤣
I was confused at first, since I read the first three books in German and they looked like the second version. But that first, as a German percy jackson fan and now graphic designer, I am very thankful that was not what I had 😂
Okay, not joking, I'm german and we had the percy jackson books in our school libary with this weird cover (1:46) and I read the summary of the book and was like: Yeah, sounds like somthing I would read - but the cover... Looks like its a book for little children. So I didnt read pjo until 2020, when I realised there really good books and I still regret it.
Now I'm legit relieved that in France we got the book covers from either the US or the UK (the image I saw included both but didn't label which one was which).
I read the Percy Jackson series after I got my diagnosis at like 13 and I had first felt like I was a freak who couldn’t focus and needed medicine and extra time on all the tests but his books made me feel like I could be a rlly cool demigod :)
I love how the crowd was so upset at Octavian and then he said Leo and they were literally going "LEO" Edit: I want Rick to read ALL of my riordanverse books.
1:43 as a german: I have never seen that cover before... I have the second version. :) The newer ones are even cooler though. They are all black with drawn covers and the spines create a picture if you put them next to each other.
