Shut up. 50 himself is a well known snitch and FBI informant. Almost everyone he’s beefed with has made the exact same accusation. They can’t all be lying.
He did exactly that. Rick Ross worked in the INS holding facility in So. Fla that Slick Rick was held in while he awaited deportation. Lived on the Gulf Coast for a long time and spent a few years behind bars. That story has been a thing for many many years.
99% of all rappers are a fraud especially in the gangsta rap category. The only real ones I've can come up with off hand is bone thugs and mc hammer... im sure there's a few more, but that's all I can say for now and I'm 39
69 is the biggest fraud in rap, acts like he from the ghetto but comes from a middle /upper class background and attended private school. At least officer Ricky actually did live in the hood
Do you call for video game manufacture who influence kids way more than rappers to take responsibility for all the shooting and killings on these games?
@user-yy4lo3ql3w what in the world does that have to do with recognizing a fraud? The video game company ain't pretending that they r a movie company. Wym? That's a straight up deflection. You comparing a dude who wants you to think he's something he's not, to video game? I can guarantee you it's a tiny number of folks playing a video game and really think they r that character in the game.
False. Rappers have been faking it since back in the day. One huge thing to keep in mind is that many people who grew up in the projects in the 90s were born to hard working parents. Look up what Biggie and Nas' parents did for a living as an example. Also, look up what it took to get into community housing in the 70s and 80s
@@fadsa342 Community housing started in the 50s and 60s. White families had access to government backed loans that made purchasing a single family home much cheaper. Meanwhile black families were redlined into projects or piled into very small areas while having to pay much more.
Its the people who accepted rick ross and continued listening to him and doing features after he was exposed as being a former officer is what fuckt it up. Heavy supporter when he came up, but how can I continue listening to this shit when its CONFIRMED fake. I cant man.
@@understandinglyph...263550 got permission from a gangster way back in the day 2 take on his name watch the art of 16 bars if u dont believe me its explained by him himself in the documentary
I respect this man more and more. He is grinding, making music, movies, tv and put thousands of American in work . Thats on top of being dope streetwise rapper that tells us what he see.
Don't be surprised when his name pops up on some Diddy shit, not partying with Diddy obviously, but Diddy type actions if you know what I mean You can't make 20 million without being a " hot bottom," TRUST ME!
@@darthdawgz74gd "they Normally don't know shit," I'm not NORMAL. If you make 20 million and you're famous, you're down with the "illumibots " and you're doing rituals, there's no way around it. 20 million represents the amount of influence they need. If we want to get rid of the illuminate, or any other elitist group then we have to "perceive them out of existence," but if they're snatching up everyone whose famous, and their fan bases, then we won't have enough ppl to " perceive them out of existence." You ever heard is the " 20 million dollar club?" Trust me bro, I know ALL about THEM.
Yeah but two things…For one, the original 50 cent was dead long before 50 took his name and two, 50 was actually living the life he rapped about. Anybody in Southside Jamaica Queens with tell you that.
I do find it odd that we celebrate criminals and criminalize legitimate professions. The majority of these artists aren't real gangstas for real, and the ones that are shouldn't be the representatives of black culture.
@raakhanaten1035 it's a big fail when people look to celebrities as role models off rip. Unfortunately certain agendas are pushed so certain ppl will be used. HIP-HOP doesn't represent "black culture". It's a culture of its own
Ross is a fraud. Everyone in Queens knew Boo-Boo, and knew he was with the shits from when he was a kid. We know about his beef with Preme that got him shot 9 times. We know about his time in a Juvie bootcamp. His timeline is PUBLIC. The earliest timeline we know of Rick Ross is him working as a CO. Rick Ross was a nobody until he stole his name from Freeway Ricky and started rapping. His pre-rap, pre-CO timeline is secret.
It's really not. He played football and sold weed. His best friend "P-Nut" was really in Boobie Gang and was eventually killed. He was on the sidelines for the most part but dabbled into a few things here and there. The superthug criminal persona is fiction (as it is with many rappers), but he was in those environments and associated with dudes that were actually putting in work.
Did Rick Ross try to cozy up to real criiminals to boost his persona? Or did he just rap about the life and fool some people into thinking his lyrics were autobiographical and not story telling?
@@fadsa342 only a fool believed Takashi was a gangster. As for Ross. He cozyed up next to some badges. And kept "gangsters" behind cages and made sure they followed the rules of the prison.
Think about it..50 is beefing with a wannabe Biggie(Ross) and destroyed a wannabe 2Pac(JaRule) 50 is preserving HipHop from them vultures, keep em in line 50!😂
@@blackamerica3045you joking? Ja literally faked being gangster and stole 50s style. And everyone agrees em gave new life to the culture, you keep in line😂
@@brandonscopino9105 the style of rap Ja had 50 use to make fun of. Once Ja was out the picture 50 started making love songs just like Ja. So again if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black.
@@blackamerica3045 you mean 21 questions wasn’t that not in his first album? 50 had love songs before his beef with a ja. And not being successful candy shop was successful. Just a little bit was successful. What do you mean?
He was giving that name by a big drug lord. Because he reminded him of his partner 50 cent. He took a liking to Curtis and the way he moved. Started calling him lil 50. Only his peers called him Boo Boo still
I can’t believe his career didn’t immediately end when people found out who he really was. I still can’t wrap my head around this dude still has a legit spot and fan base in hip hop, but people will question whether or not Eminem belongs or can only be a “guest”. That’s embarrassing.
The whole rap game is fraudulent. Anyone who idolizes grown folk they don't even know has some internal issues. It's music, don't take it so seriously. There is more to life.
NOT the whole rap game..... it's more like the new rap game Because in the 80s 90s era of rap you HAD to be REAL as Fu**K... you couldn't get away with being a gimmick or use exposed very early on.... also you hear the realness come through the rap lyrics and Life Experiences that you KNEW to the core of your bone that they weren't lying !!!!
Yes. He used to rob all the rappers in NY. That’s why 50’s first big song was “how to rob the industry.” The current 50 cent for his name from that guy.
You've completely missed the point. It's not about taking on someone else's name in isolation, it's about being true to the persona you're presenting to the world.
Also those other guys took those names in homage. Officer Ricky took it and pretended to be this guy all the while taking his stories and his life. While being a cop.
The fact that you are just understanding what you said is surprising. As far as i can remember and i am 60 rapping has had many frauds and people bragging about stuff they never did or things they don’t have. Thugs don’t have a monopoly on rap who cares what Rick Ross once did you all are fake.
Folks need to stop putting all there faith in the rapper and just enjoy the music. Ross paints a nice picture when he raps and that's it. Don't out all your faith in the preacher or anyone. Nobody is perfect. Not even 50 cents.
He's stealing everyone's name, and probably stole inmates raps, he probably knew who the lifers were and took their shit! Shit, he took Rick Ross name and made a record using Gottis name and took his name too! He's more fraudulent than the C.O. that tries bein cool wit the inmates!
Ross didn’t burn any one the way 50 has and his own son can’t even stand him. Also 50 took his name from a drug dealer And even if Ross was a co it don’t matter. He came from one of the worse hoods even worse than Jamaican queens. You don’t think Ross been around drugs even sold it ? Being a cop or co it don’t matter nothing. Ross was most likely a dirty co. He is a hustler and he hustles anyway he could
@@danieldonnelly6205 Yeah, he was around those types of people in the streets and when he was a co. He most likely met a lot of drug dealers and learned the drug game and connections while he was a co Also the co thing was just a temporary thing he did and it wasn’t much money. He a true hustler and he never stops grinding. How can you not respect that ?
@Grief944 I never said I didn't respect his hustle for money. What I am sayin I when you're the one that's using a cage to punish someone by writing them up and throwing them in the hole, and then come out rapping about the shit he raps about isn't cool! Now if he was one of them very few COs that would be like open up cell so and so and throws you a fair one, then ok. But I'm highly doubting that happened!
@@danieldonnelly6205 Yeah, but Ross also has helped gunplay, meek,’wale and some of the dudes in his hood. Also he did that at first it was a job but than he quit and started making real money. His past life is his personal business. A lot of C.O.S sometimes help supply drugs in jail but not sure if Ross did that maybe not maybe he did He quit that job so him being a co in the past don’t really matter to me. He became one of the most successful rappers in the game that’s all that matters
All rappers are frauds none of them are living the life that they are talking about and if they are they are on their way to being dead or in jail. All of this is just nothing but entertainment it’s all a act. They all say and do whatever sells records and keep them relevant. 50 rapped about drinking alcohol and getting High but he does neither one of them what does that make him?
There are plenty of rappers who avoid implying that they're drug king pins and crime lords. Basically all of Top Dawg Entertainment is out there speaking about real experiences.
I talk about how I used to be high all the damn time... I don't smoke anymore... doesn't mean I don't know what it's like to be high... maybe he used to get high n no longer partakes in it? Or are you implying that he rapped about getting high but never actually did in his life? Ppl can speak about things they've experienced in life even if they no longer do those things. Just because they rap or speak about it, doesn't mean they have to keep doing it... lots of ppl I know speak about being in gangs, selling drugs, going to prison, etc... but they no longer do those things... they've experienced that life and they changed their lives for the better. You act like ppl can't change or grow up. Maybe he smoked n got high during the time he made that music. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🙄🙄🙄
You know 50 was like, a proper gangster back in the day right? Like, Many Men is literally about him surviving a hit, then putting a hit on his would be killer. Just bc he wasn’t around during the East-West conflict or connected to Suge doesn’t mean he wasn’t real.
People can hate on Ross for being a co but can’t hate on him for his grind and hustle and rise to the top and his beat selection is 💯 if not 1000 times better than any song 50 put out
What cracks me though about the Rick Ross name borrowing thing is where 50 got his name from. Look it up. That is the one thing 50 should not go after Ricky for.
@@static1217 at the end of the day we're talking about an entertainer naming himself after a real life gangster, I'm just saying, you seem to have gotten my point. To me it's funny how you could have argued that the person they chose their name from actually show how different they were growing up etc. but you missed it all together. The hommage argument is trash tu be honest... Generally speaking you don't copycat a guy's name, it's not cool. I mean Freeway did the same thing if you think about it. It's kind of lazy, right?
Look man, everybody has a past and maybe Rick Ross is a fraud, but 50 Cent could have kept that to himself. It's better to create allies than enemies. What did Rick Ross do to 50 Cent to get him to say that? It's too many brothers tearing each other down when they should be coming together to build an entire.
50 is one of the most creatively talented artists we have. He has succeeded in both music and acting and the production of both. He is very charismatic in interviews. Especially when telling a story.
