Yeah, you'd watch every single one -- for about two weeks. Then, you'd have difficulty watching another one for about two weeks. Good things are better in small doses.
Platinum has certainly been an absolute dog for over 12 years now. The big platinum producers in South Africa are readying for mass retrenchments because the price of the metal is too low to sustain production. Production will also be increasingly hampered by electricity generation problems which are getting worse. Once surplus stocks of platinum have been used up it will be interesting to see whether the gold - platinum ratio reverts to its long term mean.
@@ResourceTalks There's as much or more to be said about platinum.....It is cheap relative to everything......and it has massive upside when hydrogen vehicles and hybrid vehicles get going.....
Nice interview..Great to hear Rick Rule reveal his portfolio allocation to silver (2.5%)..... most listeners assume that precious metal bulls like Jim Rickards & Rick Rule have massive allocations just because they keep talking about them. Hope listeners understand that a small allocation (5-7%) is enough to create massive upsides just incase things go really bad.
I think its a matter of strategy. Rick is filthy rich so he probably dont need to be rich at the expense of the risk. I would think that his gold investment will be of higher allocation. Its once in a lifetime opportunity so if you are not as rich as Rick then it make sense to have more. I think thats why everyone should have their own strategy. But i agree the point is valid. I would be interested to know how much Rick silver investment was when he was not a billionaire
I don’t think you guys understood Rick correctly. Rick said he’s “speculating” with 2.5% of his portfolio. Speculation and investment are two different things. Investment has a larger degree of weighing a company’s balance sheet to decide what is a good deal whereas speculation is a lot closer to gambling in that it involves a higher degree of risk placing money in less developed companies.

I just heard two ( other ) reputable U - Tube channels stating that there is : 1.) THE WORLD HAS PLENTY OF SILVER . 2.) whoever claims a global deficit is a fear monger . I’m just REALLY confused . I think the best way to trade commodities & precious metals is buy when there is a lot of anger and resentment directed towards them. Like Rick said I too believe this is the situation with silver right now but alas I reached my target allocation to silver at 40 -50% higher prices than present :(
It is true !!! The world has plenty of silver. And, it will remain true -- until **suddenly** it's no longer true and the world has a traumatic deficit of silver.

As per Rick's comment, YES I'm very disappointed not just in Silver stocks but Gold mining shares also. I've had Coeur (down 89%) and FM (FR) in my portfolio for the last 15 years. What a disaster. Hopefully we'll see some investor love soon.
Same for HL but at least I’m getting dividends the whole time. I’m up at the moment but when the move happens it’s always quick. I still can weather more downside but getting tired of waiting for the dollar end game.
Great interview Antonio, I had to rewind a few times so I didn’t miss anything. Rick said that Pan American owns Cascabel in Guatemala. Cascabel is actually in Ecuador, owned by SolGold. Pan American’s Guatemala asset is called Escobal. That was great that he said it will be given the green light!
@@benjaminahdoot5007 neither are permitted as far as I know, but SolGold got financed by Franco Nevada last week. I think it was about half of the construction cost. So I imagine permitting must be close.

When Rick says he has 2% of his net worth allocated to silver, you must understand he is talking about 2% of more than $1Billion , which is much more than 100% of the net worth of 98% of most people globally. For me I have considerably more than 2% invested in Silver. I believe this Silver bull run will eclipse all others by orders of magnitude. 😮

Own Abra. For you Antonio, if you are dipping in your toe in silver stocks for the first time, buy the biggest stocks but only those that are of the highest quality. Fresnillo is a no-brainer.
Antonio, fantastic interview. Mr. Rule is a a class act to say the least...always willing to educate and share invaluable information. Also, in case you are wondering, Gogold has a fantastic, best in class, Mexico silver deposit and mgmt has done a phenomenal job to de-risk it. I've considered them to be the best risk/reward silver developer for the past 5 yrs. Obviously, the stock has moved up quite a bit from 2018, and for good reasons. The fact that they can go from open pit concept to underground long hole mining, should tell you how special the Los Ricos South asset is. The additional concession secured in 2022 was a real game changer. Rest assure, if it weren't for the Mexico uncertainty and apathy in the market, the company would be trading much higher. Not knowing what Mr. Rule ranks Gogold, I would be surprised if he didn't love it at these levels.
Agree @adqumi. It is wicked cheap given the 2 PEA's at nearly US$900M, the US$100M cash, 7 more years of Parrall production and the low LRS capex. LRS FS and permit hopefully in the next 60 days!! That cash is huge; should not need to dilute/raise for LRS underground construction. Makes this stock especially unique IMO.

Best explanation of how silver can be manipulated I've ever heard . (Short it in real time while you have a much bigger position in place with 10x leverage in the futures market ) Could go badly wrong if the market moves the wrong way for some bigger reason eg another speculator is doing the opposite move but with much more money ?
Next time you interview Rick, I would like to know whether $2500 gold and $35 silver will fix Jerritt Canyon. I trade in and out of AG, with mostly options, and I have been of the assumption that leaving the gold and silver in the ground, until prices are higher, is the plan.
Since 2015, the number of First Majestic shares has doubled from 130m to 260m and they're still diluting shareholders. Jerritt Canyon has been a disaster and is unlikely to reverse even though when it was purchased from Sprott, it was supposed to be accretive to earnings. Eric Sprott sold his shares because he has no confidence in the company.
Rick Rule, thank you. Every one of your videos is a master class in discernment. You see what is there, not what you would like to see or what someone else tell you to see. So thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your decades of wisdom with the rest of us at no cost on these social media platforms. I view it as charitable in the extreme. You should figure out how many free hours of financial training you give away and the write it off your taxes at the full going rate.
I am surprised that the interview didn't touch on Australia's silver (miner) opportunities; the likes of BHP & S32 - admittedly silver is not the main focus, and of course SVL, which is the only pure Australian silver play. Any comments, please?

I was on his Silver Bootcamp and i ve met Rule by myself having Dinner for 1 h with him. But this was the best Interview so far which was really nice to watch. Thank you both for your time and uplouding it to the public! EDIT: Why is this so wonderful and so helpfull? Because i asked Rick many times: As an investor who never experienced a silver bull run, how could you prepare urself for that? He always sad: "simply you can't"! But this Interview helped me A LOT!
It’s well known Rick loves to speculate in silver penny stocks. He knows a lot more about the business than most anyone. I think most people are better served by sticking with the big names and just wait for silver to go up. First Majestic is my favorite. I think CEO Keith Neumeyer is one of the best in the industry. I agree with Rick on Platinum. Love it. But do like two beaten up South African ADRs which I recently bought. SBSW and IMPUY.. should Plat and or Palladium goes up, these stocks should rocket IMO.
it would be interesting to have a list of the commodities and the minimum cost of production -- materials which are necessary for human kind then this would be a really good list to monitor ... and how long these have stayed under the cost of production in months.... to give a nice statistic
They change constantly, though. The costs are also not as transparent as companies get creative with the accounting. Someone would have to follow along very, very closely. Not sure how feasible it is, if it has to be high quality.
Antonia, Great interview. Been listening to Rick since I got into silver back in 2002. Have you ever heard of Steve StAngelo? He runs the SRRocco Report...... started out being about silver, and still is, but talks about how we have reached Peak Oil, and many more interesting analysis about so much. He is a math guy. And, he is starting to speak at many large conferences. I believe you would enjoy his work. I've been listening to you also, for a while. Always so refreshing to see a young man, that is so groomed and intelligent when speaking about investing. I get the Gold membership from him..... has a world of info. I can assure you all, that he does not even know I'm writing this comment. Just that anyone in the silver/gold/gas community will get a lot of great info from his site. Much better interview, Antonio. I am currently investing in silver specifically. I think it has more upside than gold. But gold is good. I didn't like the last guest or the questions. Anytime that Rick speaks. I will listen. I did subscribe to Resource Talks today and gave it a like. Excellent interview.
Silver Bear Raid is easy. LBMA, world’s biggest, trades around 200m Oz ($4.5B) of silver daily. If someone were to buy $225M worth of silver (5% trading volume) and take a short position of another $225m, max it out 10x to $2.25B on a slow day, dump the silver, all funds/Quants with AI would follow, dropping price by 6-8%. $200M profit on $450M up front. A LOT of people have that kind of money.
One question. Why is silver price less than 50% of the price of the 80's? A commodity which is used daily, for 40 years used in more and more new applications, like mobile phones, solar panels etc. Is there any other commodity worth less than 50% from 45 years ago??
Commodities work in cycles. Silver is not 50% of the price of the 80s. It's 50% off its all-time high, which happened in the 80s. There is a difference.

For me as a European it would be helpful if all discussed names would be written in text somewhere, e.g. in minute 54:30 when you discusse hecla silver, there is another name "quarterlane?" I cannot understand it and so I cannot find it- this is a pity. Maybe you could give some feedback about this?
I love listening to Rick, he is incredibly knowledgeable, however in this particular video, regarding his comments on First Majestic Silver In my opinion Rick is speaking out of both sides of his mouth at the same time. He is making it sound like if Jerritt Canyon doesn't work out that it could bring First Majestic to it's knees. I believe he said it could bring them down to the floor. Yet out of the other side of his mouth, he is standing on a mountain top calling out to the world that silver prices are going to explode higher. Well I would argue if silver goes half as high as Rick thinks, then First Majestic will be swimming in cash, and will have plenty to spend on Jerritt Canyon whether it works out or not. I feel Rick would have been more accurate had he said if silver was to go down and stay down for a number of years, then yes I believe Jerritt Canyon could be big trouble for First Majestic.
How's WPM as a silver play? Assuming you want gold in your portfolio as well. As I understand from their reports, they have much of their revenue from silver streams/royalties, so much so that if the gold/silver price ratio drops in a precious metal bull run silver should overtake gold as part of WPMs revenue. So you can either buy 5% Lundin Gold, and 2% PAAS... or you could just buy 7% WPM. I'm guessing this gives you less leverage to both gold and silver price, but because the risk is lower you could compensate this by going 10% WPM instead? As opposed to producing miners streams should be marginally less leveraged, and royalties considerably less leveraged to the price of a commodity, yes?
re your comments Antonio that you have never made $ in the mining stocks yet... I assure you if you are in the Tier One companies your day is coming, will definitely make you money and possibly more than you expect. The holding is harder than the buying or selling. BTW I think you pulled off the Silver interview of the year with this one. Great work, fantastic.

Uranium remains my only successful commodity investment till date. Rest of my commodity investments have been extremely underwhelming to put it mildly. 😅
@@ResourceTalks -- And, Aluminum (Aluminium) is many more times cheaper and used for many electric wiring jobs. But, the really important jobs (like space ships) use silver to conduct electricity.

Hi Antonio, This will be my only off-topic comment: because the oil price is actually in contango, my most recent purchase was one of two Lundin plays: Africa Energy, the lesser known of the two African Lundin plays. The other, of course, is Africa Oil. Both of them are somewhat undervalued by the market at this time.
9:00 Incorrect. The vast majority, in fact 95%+ of all silver ever mined, is not present above ground in a usable form. It has been used commercially and is lost to all but the most extreme, wide-encompassing and costly recycling attempts (in other words powder and slivers in landfills). This is what makes silver unique versus gold, for which indeed 99% of all the gold ever mined is still present in usable form.
