Years 60'-70' were the peak in music creativity in my oppinion. Such a lot of great music created, inovated in that period. Time of PInk Floyd, Queen, Genesis, Yes and many other great bands& artists! And Rick is for sure one of them in the Hall of Fame!
una trayectoria increible lo vi en argentina cuando presento 1984 hace muchos años y lo sigo con yes desde mi juventud es mi banda preferida gracias por compartir este exelente dvd
I've been following Rick from his keyboard youth with YES and his Six Wife's of Henry the Eighth...plus all his formative works from then on. He just gets better and better and is quite astounding. Rick does incorporate a lot of his previous keyboard works into his modern pieces and solos.....if you're a fan....you caught that too.
I wonder, perhaps, if Rick doesn't get the accolades he rightly deserves because people find it difficult to acknowledge true genius and greatness because ... to do so causes us to realize we are not. Rick will be recognized one day as he should. I just hope it doesn't take as long as it did for Mozart and Vivaldi. I think both of them would be pleased that Rick is continuing on with what they gave their lives to -- great quality music such as this. Thank you Rick.
Been a huge fan since the 70’s. When the Journey to the Centre of the Earth tour came through Memphis I must have been 16 or 17 years old. After the show we went to the Holiday Inn Rivermont for the post concert gathering and Rick happened to be there. He was so gracious and friendly as I shook his hand, introduced myself and thanked and complemented him for the amazing production and concert. He offered me a Heineken and was such a gracious, friendly and personal young man. He must have been raised in a very loving and great family. He’s a true blessing.
I CANNOT believe it only has 57 likes! Where is the million of people who went to his concerts! HE is so great! SHARE IT please, every body deserves to experience this!
I've listened to Mr. Wakeman from waaay back in my youth, when he was first with Yes. I think I've heard everything he has ever put out, (although with the amazing amount of music he has produced, I can't be sure). My favourite albums of his are Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, The Myths and Legends of King Arthurand the Knights of the Round Table, The Word and The Gospels. My favourite while he was with Yes is YesSongs. These albums are ones I still listen to and enjoy greatly at least several times a year.
Rick has been working a lot on the orchestration, it is very different from the original album ; I like this version as well, it give another taste of what the Master can do. I would love to play the piano like him What is incredible is that he does seem to play with a partition ! what a memory !!!!!!😀😀 It's a pity there are not the two singers like on the 1975 video The Help version of the Beatles is amazing. The Beatles could not write such a big orchestration I do not like the "Eleonor Rugby" version, it does not reflect the sadness of this beautiful song from the Beatles
tres emouvant ,magnifique un grand artiste aujoud'hui on nous parle des artistes qui melange pop/classique il est un pionnier du genre .........................on a rien inventé a mediter
15:43 What a weird cinematic brain freeze ! They seemed to decide half way through the pan that it was a bad idea and they better get back to business !
