Andrea Danford lord my grandma was at church every time the doors were open lol she went to all services God rest her soul. Lol now I’m doing the same thing ain’t nothing like God’s Presence.
These use to be the good ole days! Marching in was the best part. Especially when they use to be stopping and waving at everyone lol or that one person who was always off and the person behind them trying to help them stagger the March in! One thing I really miss about old school church was all the holiday programs the youth would do. That was one of the best things I remember doing or VBS!!!

It's 2021, I miss the Choir marching. Church started with a slow jam like, Holy holy holy Lord God almighty... Then by offering time we'd kick it up a notch and march to something like When we all get to heaven or Caught up to meet him... (fast pace) We got our strut, shout, dance, march, and how you doin, all in at the same time. (Oh the memories) This made me smile today... 8/22/21 🙏🏾🤣❤❤❤

I can relate as well, I'm a musician at church (I'm the keyboardist of the church), and this video literally explains what I have to deal with almost every Sunday!
Jon Brown Lol facts! I always tried to refrain from playing the drums when the Hymn Choir sang. Some would clap & sang off beat, the song leader would have they own beat, & then they would look at me all sideways
I totally understand what Ricky is talking about. I just experience this situation this Sunday with one of the mothers of the church singing on the up beat, and we are trying to play on the down beat. She was all into the song ain't paying no attention to what we are doing and we were supposed to follow her. lol.

I know what it was like back in the day growing up in the 80's and 90's attending the apostolic churches. If you were not already in the sanctuary you couldn't go in until the choir had been seated. I remember one time me and my family were out in the lobby for almost 25 minutes. If you were already in the sanctuary, you had to stand as if they were the kings and queens of the church. Nobody ever stood up for the kids choir. I was like that ain fair. When we sung no one stood or clapped :-( SMH
This is so true Ican remember some of the older members who have gone on to be with the lord ,but BOY BOY BOY AS A YOUNGSTER WE WOULD LAUGH AT THEM MORE THAN ANYTHING ,UNTIL THEY WOULD COME AND SEPARATE US.I REALLY MISS THOSE DAYS.

FORGIVE ME GOD.... it's 5am, and I INTENDED to LISTEN to some 'GOD' OLE GOSPEL MUSIC as a LEAD IN to a SERMON as I DO EVERYDAY once it's TIME for ME to START a NEW DAY when I SAW MY FAVORITE 'ON-AIR' RADIO 'PERSONALITY' as a SUGGESTION....I KNOW that 'YOU' UNDERSTAND because 'YOU' 'TAUGHT' ME that "LAUGHTER is 'GOD' MEDICINE", and I 'BELIEVE' that the BREAST CANCER that I was DIAGNOSED with MARCH 5, 2021-just 10 MONTHS after a GOLFBALL SIZED NON CANCEROUS MENINGIOMA TUMOR was REMOVED from 'MY' BRAIN on MAY 26, 2020 is LEAVING, if not has LEFT 'MY' BODY because of 'THIS' type of MEDICINE and NOT the CHEMOTHERAPY that I REFUSE to RECEIVE! THANK 'YOU' 'MOTHER' GOD!

i play drums in the church band and the elders could never keep time. the band and I will always have to adjust. there's never playing a song smoothly. we laugh about all the time.

from a musician’s standpoint, I feel him. at least within those years, I learned to kinda catch on. like, I’ll give em a few seconds, just so I can listen, see where they at, then once I know, I’ll pick up. at least if it’s simple enough where there are basics, then we can work with it.
OOOOOOO I used to play & God knows he is tellin the truth!!! 😭🤣 you could NEVER keep up!! 😞👀🙄 And oh Jesus...don't let it be a 3 o'clock program & the choir wanted to show out for the visiting churches-they would take FOREVER! 😅
