Virginia's premier choir (Patrick Riddick and D'Vyne Worship) sings "Because of the Blood" behind Stellar/Grammy Award Winner Ricky Dillard on the 12/4/2011 airing of Bobby Jones Gospel Follow me on Twitter at vtguy84
The Holy Spirit is all in this song, Because of the sinless blood of Jesus Christ, the begotten Son of God. My Lord and Savior!!!!!! Forever, the precious Blood of Jesus! Thank You Jesus!
To those talking bad about this performance, we need to take all things into consideration, one, you're comparing a LIVE performance, to a performance that has overdubs and recorded. Also, to those who don't know, D'Vyne Worship is directed by assistant director of New G Patrick Riddick... So in likeness its all the same. Just some of the mics were "hot" calling for some tenors, sopranos, and altos, to be picked up, rather than the entire section!
Because of the blood, we are here today and Renee with her dynamite vocals is simply awesome in singing this great song of praise to one who is Worthy of all Praises.
It must has been an honor to have Ricky Dillard and one of his lead singers to work with Patrick aa Dw. I am glad that international development investigation taxes did not hindered the approved finance or cause finance warrants for any members of all groups...... To double image of Dr.. Dillard is an excellent choral society experiences. I ENJOY the approved finance of music
Oh lawd Dr Ricky Dillard hon you mean to tell us we are hidden as an cloud computing exploration of mathematical companies computations of times zones in days. Ahhh. Im so glad for yall saints and ours Whew.

And mainly GOD got the glory!!! That's all that matters!!! Done have a nice day!!!!
i smell a HATER. LOLOL Nevertheless, one would EXPECT New G to sound better because they recorded it. so i agree with you on that point. we just Thank God for the opportunity. and when Ricky invites YOUR choir to back him up and they excute, we'll thank God for YOUR opportunity as well. God Bless.
+Kieara Tone' The wording of this line is not theologically correct; however, I believe the writer was trying to write that the life of sin and tragedies was the reason for the shed blood. Maybe "The blood set me from from a life of sin and tragedies." Just my observation.
The original version (written by Chris Watkins and performed by Chris & Kyle with True Spirit of St. Louis, Mo [shameless hometown plug 😁) says "the blood that set me free, saved me from a life-ending tragedy"...
While I understand the local and regional worship of this choir, I am not entirely impressed with its rendering of this song. There are too many individual voices sticking out(and the microphone placement could be the culprit, or the inability to blend when miked) and it is distracting to me. Some regional choirs do well within their region, but are not national or worldwide choirs like New Generation.
I'm sure if you look at majority of their videos, you will see that this is their sound. Their sections sound the same at all times because they have been trained that way. And in all honesty, there hasn't been a choir on BJG that didn't have certain voices sticking out since the early '90s. It's not a choir problem as much as it is an audio problem. Meanwhile, go check out the recent New Generation videos and lets see...
Jay, as a professional audio mixer, please note my comments on mic placement. Having done many recordings that feature choirs singing many types of music, I am well aware that poor recording techniques are just as bad as poor voice blending skills. Some choirs have great individual voices that do not know how to blend together. That is a fact. Some audio engineers have no idea how to record a gospel choir. That is also a fact.
D'vyne Worship is a nationally signed and recording choir! Our album will be out later this year, and I guarantee you will have nothing but good things to say about it!
