I am a fan of your interviews and I muss say I enjoy listening to them. Ricky said that gun songs have no impact on crime. If you're a child and you hear a song like, informer fi dead, wouldn't you think that it is normal to hurt your siblings or another child they tell on you? Why does people listen to romantic love songs to get in the mood for love? Why when listening to certain songs it makes you feel happy or sad? Songs are much more powerful than some people might think. Songs have an impact on people. Great influence, bad influence and much more. Anyway, everyone has a right to their opinion.

Teach dem is creating something of real cultural value, by delving deep into the past and bringing forth artists that we have long since forgotten about. These interviews will play a serious role in dance hall history...Big up u self Teach. Ricky General, glad to know your still doing your thing.

I met Ricky General in Barbados in 97 in Mall 34. He signed my scarf and my school book. I was over the moon that evening

I forgot about him until I saw footage of him at Bounty's birthday bash last year. So many tunes from back in the days that I love but never knew the artist who voiced the tune unless they had recognizable sounds or were more popular. I need to do my research on Ricky General and other artists. Thanks for teaching us the history 🙏😇

Ricky General seen ... saw him at Bounty's birthday bash so I knew that he was still around: he's more of a hardcore DJ; he came into his peak in the early 90's when I man stopped going to dance. Love to hear his story. Portmore man claim Ricky because he'd spar with Frisco Kid (he's at GarveyMeade regularly) but I think he's originally a central Kingston yute
