Ascent it's a brilliant series. It's on Netflix if you can access that. Gervais's most "real" work to date. Very real and heartwarming, tear jerking, and everything in between.

England talk shows are unrehearsed, what happens.... happens. America, it is all staged, as in questions are submitted so the interviewers already know the answers and then try to make it funny in one way or another.. American talks shows are boring, extremely boring. I am from downunder and I have always preferd the UK talk shows and always will. By the way, I am of German background.

The XFM stuff was so funny and so genuine because live - i guess he feels its a shame because lets be honest its some of the funniest shit he has ever been a part of and not written yet it was broadcast on XFM London (only picked up in the London districts at the time (before it was added to DAB nationwide like now) and broadcast on a Saturday afternoon 12-2pm! Literally probably only a couple hundred listening to! You can actually get ALL the old downloaded recordings of the live broadcast shows from where they started (before office and after) you can get them original 2 hours long or the edited version (only things edited out are the songs and ad breaks) Seriously genius DONT TALK SHIT KARL....
